Gautham Vasudev Menon Has Been Roped In to Play An Important Role In Thalapathy Vijay's 67th Film

Chennai, 21 Sep 2022: Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's recent outing Vikram stood as the biggest blockbuster success in India and overseas. This movie showed a never-before avatar of Kamal Hassan and became highest grossing Tamil film of all time. Even before the commencement, there are sky-high expectations for Thalapathy Vijay's 67th film project which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## Recently Lokesh said that all the updates from the project will be coming out in 1-2 months. Thalapthy 67 will be a gangster action drama set against the backdrop of Mumbai. Just like Vikram, this movie is also anticipated to be an addition to Lokesh’s Cinematic Universe. ## Director Gautham Vasudev Menon is acting in more films of late and he gained good popularity as an actor too. Suriya To Team Up With Director Shankar For Big Screen Adaptation of Velpari Novel

Chennai, September 21 - Tamil superstar Suriya will reportedly be teaming with maverick filmmaker S. Shankar for the cinematic adaptation of the iconic Velpari Novel. ## Shankar is currently working on Kamal Haasan's "Indian 2" along with Ram Charan's "RC15" simultaneously. After completing his current commitments, Shankar will start working on Suriya's film. ## According to Pinkvilla, "Suriya's 2D Entertainment has acquired the rights to bring the story of Velpari to the big screen". It is said that Suriya and Shanker have already met multiple times to discuss the way forward regarding bringing Velpari's novel to the big screen. ## "The idea to adapt one of the greatest novels of all time and make it a cinematic experience like never before", says the report. ## Suriya's 2D Entertain will produce this mega-budget film while he will also play the lead role. Filmmaker Mani Ratnam Reveals He Rejected Superstar Rajinikanth's Request To Play Supporting Role In 'Ponniyin Selvan 1'

Chennai, September 17 - Filmmaker Mani Ratnam is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited epic period action film Ponniyin Selvan: I, which is scheduled to release on September 30 in multiple Indian languages. ## The film is boosted by a solid star cast, including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala, among others in prominent roles. The film tells the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman, who later became the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I (947 CE – 1014 CE).## The cast of PS1 could have been one of the biggest names in Indian cinema had Mani Ratnam not rejected his request. ## During the press meet in Chennai, Mani Ratnam revealed that superstar Rajinikanth had requested to play the supporting role in the movie. Chennai, September 12 - Thalapathy Vijay will be headlining the 100th film of Super Good Films, confirmed by actor Jiiva, the son of producer R B Choudhary, who owns Super Good Films. ## Super Good Films gave a big break to the Tamil superstar in 1996's "Poove Unakkaga", a film that many consider the turning point of Vijay's career. The production house is now in the process of making its 96th film and inching towards its 100th film quickly. ## At a recent media interaction, actor Jiiva was asked whether Vijay would agree to work in its 100th film. "Definitely", the actor-producer said. "I am announcing this on stage.
