Reliance Entertainment Partners With Filmmaker Ribhu Dasgupta To Form Film Hangar, A Joint Venture To Produce Films

Reliance Entertainment has collaborated with filmmaker Ribhu Dasgupta to form a joint venture company to produce clutter-breaking content, named "Film Hangar". "The Girl on The Train" which will stream on Netflix on Feb 26, is the first film that has been produced under Film Hangar. ## Ribhu's body of work comprises of 'Michael' (2011) starring Naseeruddin Shah, 'Yudh' (2014) a Television series starring Amitabh Bachchan, followed by 'TE3N' (2016) starring Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui and very recently, 'Bard of Blood' (2019) which is streaming on Netflix.## Shibasish Sarkar, Group CEO, Reliance Entertainment, said, "Right from our 'TE3N' days, Ribhu has been someone who has brought a unique sensibility to every project and with FILM HANGAR, we wish to break the clutter with edgy and engaging content. Vijay Sethupathi Clears Why He Withdrew From Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha

Vijay Sethupathi was all set to headline in Bollywood with Aamir Khan starrer Lal Singh Chaddha which is scheduled to release on Christmas this year. However, the southern star is now no longer part of the project, and his Bollywood debut gets longer. ## It was reported that Aamir Khan offered Sethupathi an important role in his upcoming film after seeing his meritorious performances in his movies which have made a crazy fan following of him. However, the reports came as a shocker for his fans that he is not a part of Lal Singh Chaddha. It was reported that Aamir Khan had asked him to reduce weight according to the character's demand, and Vijay failed to do so, hence he was asked to back out from the movie. ## While the reason for Sethupathi backing out from the project wasn't made official until the actor himself cleared what exactly went behind the scene. Recently, in an interview, Vijay cleared the air around his relationship with Aamir Khan and why he withdrew from Lal Singh Chaddha. ## Started off by praising Khan, Sethupathi said that he is the sweetest and kindest gentleman. He further said that Aamir Khan himself flew down to a village where Vijay was shooting and narrated to him the script of LSC and offered him to do it. Vijay, who is a big admirer of Khan agreed to the movie.## However, this entire scene happened before the covid-19 pandemic arrived, and once the pandemic hit India, it halted the complete schedule of the film industry including the movies' release and shooting. Since dates became messed up, Sethupathi couldn't give suitable dates for LSC as he was busy with 5 of his projects. Hence it was all the case of a tight schedule and not of some issues with Sethupathi's weight as claimed by several sources.## "I am very comfortable with my body and my mind. Whichever project I go into, they go with me", said Sethupathi when asked about the rumor of his departure from LSC. ## Talking about Lal Singh Chaddha, it is the official Hindi remake of the classic "Forrest Gump" which starred Tom Hanks. In Roohi, Janhvi Kapoor is controlled by a witch, who abducts brides during their honeymoon. After the mega-success of the first two movies of the Tiger franchise, superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be returning as RAW and ISI agents respectively in Tiger 3 which is expected to go on floors next month in March. He also lodged an FIR at the Bandra police station in Mumbai in this connection. However, the court later came to know that his Arms license was not lost, but had been submitted for renewal.## Public prosecutor Bhavani Singh Bhati had then demanded that a case of misleading the court be filed against the actor. The actress, who never fails to grab the media headlines for his bold and fearless statements, took to Twitter on Tuesday (February 9) and declared that 'the kind of range I display as a performer no other actress on this globe has that right now'. She was seen comparing herself to the Hollywood stars Meryl Streep and Gal Gadot.## The actress made her assertion by sharing several images from her upcoming films, "Thalaivi" and "Dhaakad". Sunny Leone Lend Into Trouble, Questioned By Kerala Police For Cheating

Bollywood actress Sunny Leone got into trouble when she was questioned by the Kerala Police at a private resort in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The interrogation was conducted on a complaint filed by an event manager in Kochi in an alleged cheating case.## R Shiyas, who conducts events in and around Kochi, had filed a complaint with the Kerala DGP that Sunny Leone had taken Rs 29 lakh from him while promising to attend various inaugural functions in the state but she failed to do so.## The complainant said that her manager had taken money in several installments from 2016 onwards, promising to attend five functions but as it did not happen he complained to the police.## Sources in the Crime Branch confirmed that the police had indeed questioned the actor on Thursday. After holding back the release of his Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai due to the covid-19 pandemic, superstar Salman Khan is all set to give an Eid present to theaters by releasing his much-awaited, an out and out mass entertainer, Radhe this Eid. The actor also said that his three films are ready for release but admit the scene is rather bleak for the traditional big-screen exhibitors right now.## "There are three films of mine that are ready for release, and the problem with single-screen theatres is that there are very few films being released over there", said Salman, while interacting with the media at the launch of the Indian Pro Music League in Mumbai.## "Nowadays, there is a kabristan (graveyard) kind of feel to single-screen theatres, as no one goes there to watch films. Obviously, the people who own these have no other option than running them, and there are so many theatres that have shut down due to financial reasons. I feel it is not a good sign. We are in the profession of acting, so we make films. But where should we release them?" he said.## "It's a catch-22 situation as we are incomplete without them (theatre owners) and they are incomplete without us. I have a good hold over single-screen theatres, so they (theatre owners) requested me to release 'Radhe' in single screen theatres", added Salman. ## ICYDK, a couple of weeks ago, Salman had released a statement regarding the theatrical release of Radhe and confirmed Eid release. His assurance came after Cinema Associations had urged him to release his Radhe only in theaters to give a much-needed boost to the single screen cinemas which are suffering the most due to the covid-19 situation. ## "Covid-19 is still there, so we have requested theatre owners to follow safety precautions while screening films so that no one gets infected. The younger generation is surviving this period, so the problem is not about the younger generation but we have to take care of our parents and grandparents. If they get infected because of us, then we will feel the guilt for our lifetime, so that is the only thing we have to be careful about", he said.## "Now the vaccination drive has also started, so we are going towards a safe zone. I hope and pray that 2021 and 2022 will be better than 2020 for all of us and we will make growth in our lives", he added.## Apart from Radhe, Salman Khan will be starring in Antim, Tiger 3, Kick 2, and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
