Mumbai, June 6 - A sequel to Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's family comedy-drama JugJugg Jeeyo is reportedly in the early development at Dharma Productions with Raj Mehta is expected to return as the director. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, after teasing a sequel for a long time, Karan Johar and Raj Mehta are officially working on JugJugg Jeeyo, however, the report suggests the makers may change the title and it is more likely to be a spiritual sequel. ## It is said that Raj Mehta has begun writing the sequel with his team of writers and is looking to take it in on floors by the end of this year or early 2025. No cast has been attached to the sequel yet, but Varun is expected to return to headline it. ## Released in June 2022, Jug Jug Jeeyo starred Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor as two couples of different generations on the verge of divorce. Mumbai, June 6 - The shooting of Ajay Devgn-fronted Raid 2 has reportedly been completed and it has now entered the post-production stage. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the movie also stars Vaani Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in prominent roles and is gearing up for release soon. ## Raid 2 is the sequel to 2018's hit crime thriller Raid which was based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s. Mumbai, June 5 - Director Rajesh A Krishnan's heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon is turning out to be a big success on Netflix after emerging as one of the biggest box office successes of the year. ## Crew premiered on Netflix on May 24 after completing 8 weeks of the theatrical run with over 150 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. On its Netflix premiere, the movie scored 5.4 million views in the opening weekend, taking one of the best starts of the year for an Indian title. ## The movie's viewership shot up in the second week (May 27 - June 2) as it scored 8.9 million views. Mumbai, June 2 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi has a good opening weekend at the domestic box office with a collection of around 17 crores net. ## The romantic sports drama witnessed a jump of around 20% on Sunday for an estimated 5.25-5.75 crores net collection, pushing the total collection to around 17 crores in the first 3-day weekend which is on the expected lines. ## Mr and Mrs Mahi got a cinema day boost on its opening day so the weekend collection is probably around 3 crores higher than what it could have been with the regular prices. Mumbai, June 2 - One of the biggest Tamil hits of 2022, romantic-comedy Love Today is getting its Hindi remake with Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the lead roles while Advait Chandan, who directed Secret Superstar (2017) and Lal Singh Chaddha (2022), is directing it. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, the Hindi remake of Love Today has been titled Loveyapa, named after a term that can be used to describe the combination of love and siyappa. Junaid and Khushi play a deeply-in-love young couple in this quirky love story. ## Produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, the shoot of Loveyapa reportedly commenced on May 27 and is currently being shot at Mira Road in Mumbai. Mumbai, May 27 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's action drama Sikandar is one of the most anticipated films in the making. It marks Salman's maiden collaboration with director AR Murugadoss and this combination is making everyone excited.## Sajid Naidadwala is producing the film under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the makers recently confirmed that national crush Rashmika Mandanna would be playing the female lead opposite Salman in the movie. Now, the makers have roped in a popular South Indian actor to play the main antagonist. ## According to a recent interview, journalist turned producer Chithra Laksmanan said that actor Sathyaraj, who played the iconic role of Kattapa in the epic blockbuster Baahubali, will be playing the role of the main villain. ## Meanwhile, the shoot of Sikandar will kick start in June this year and it will be shot in multiple locations in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Europe. Ajay Devgn In Talks To Headline Mission Mangal Director Jagan Shakti's Next

Mumbai, May 27 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's hands are full at the moment with several films and he is reportedly in the process of locking one more film with director Jagan Shakti who made his directorial debut in 2019 with Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn is discussing a probable collaboration with Jagan Shakti and the duo have met multiple times over the last few months for the same. It is said that Ajay is excited by the idea pitched to him by Jagan Shakti and is looking forward to the collaboration.## The report further reveals that the movie in question could go on floors by early next year if everything goes as planned. Ajay Devgn will produce it under his banner Devgn Films.## Ajay, meanwhile, has had two releases so far this year, with one emerging as a big box office success (Shaitaan) and the other one bombing (Maidaan) despite positive critics' reviews. Dharma Productions Announces 'Dhadak 2'; Sets Official Release Date

Mumbai, May 27 - Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has teamed up with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures to announce the sequel of 2018's romantic thriller Dhadak. Directed by Shazia Iqbal in her directorial debut, Dhadak stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the leading roles. ## The official announcement of the movie was made on May 27 with a video which shows that Dhadak 2 is a story about a boy and a girl who fall in love but due to the difference their cast, they have to fight the society to love together. ## The makers have also confirmed that Dhadak 2 will be hitting theaters on November 22, 2024. ## कैसे मिलेंगे - आग और पानी? Cannes, May 25 - Actress Anasuya Sengupta has created history by becoming the first Indian to win the Best Actress award at the Un Certain Regard segment of the Cannes Film Festival. ## Sengupta received the prestigious award for her role in the film Shameless directed and written by Bulgarian filmmaker Constantin Bojanov. The film portrays the journey of a sex worker who escapes from a brothel in Delhi after stabbing a policeman. ## "You don’t have to be queer to fight for equality, you don’t have to be colonised to understand that colonising is pathetic — we just need to be very, very decent human beings", Sengupta said in her acceptance speech (via India Today). ## Anasuya is recognised primarily for her work as a production designer in Mumbai and her work includes set design of the Netflix show Masaba Masaba.
