Rohit Shetty's Big Plans To Boost Larger Than Life Cinema Under His Own Production?
Mumbai, February 4 - Bollywood filmmaker, Rohit Shetty has hardly put a foot wrong in his nearly two-decade-long career when it comes to delivering box office hits. He has set himself as one of the biggest brands in Hindi cinema who can run movies on his name, irrespective of the star cast. ## Rohit Shetty's love for the big screen cinema is unmatchable, and the latest example of that is the recent box office hit "Sooryavanshi". The Akshay Kumar-starrer was supposed to release in March 2020, but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers had to put it on hold for more than 18 months. During that period, many OTT platforms threw tempting amounts to grab "Sooryavanshi" for direct-to-digital release, but it was Shetty, who always wanted the film to release in cinemas. When the movie finally did release in cinemas on Diwali 2022, it proved Shetty's decision right by becoming the first Bollywood hit during the pandemic.## The hit filmmaker is now reportedly putting his best foot forward to give a major boost to the big screen cinema by bankrolling big-ticket movies under his own production house, Rohit Shetty Picturez. According to Bollywood Hungama, Rohit Shetty is aiming to establish a full-fledged production house by bankrolling multiple films under the banner.## The filmmaker's vision is to make larger-than-life cinema that's meant to be consumed on the big screen. He has also been reportedly grooming multiple directors under his banner and it is said that at least 5 films are in the writing stage at Rohit Shetty Picturez. Apart from producing films, Rohit also reportedly looking to build a big studio like Yash Raj Films, with multiple studios for shooting, which has a pre and post-production wing as also a preview theater, in either Mumbai or Gujrat.## Meanwhile, the "Singham" director is currently working on the post-production of the comedy film "Cirkus" starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandez. It is gearing up for the theatrical release in the second half of 2022. He will also start Ajay Devgn-fronted "Singham 3" later this year. ## Stay tuned...
