Vicky Kaushal To Headline Director Laxman Utekar's Warrior Drama Film

Mumbai, January 23 - Actor Vicky Kaushal will be reuniting with director Laxman Utekar for a historical warrior drama film. The due is currently working on their first collaboration, a social comedy about a married couple opting for the PM Awas Yojana to get a house of their own. Sara Ali Khan is the female lead in the film. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, Vicky and Laxman have been discussing their second film together for quite some time now which is a larger-than-life biopic of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire's founder and the great warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. ## The report further said that Vicky has agreed to play the titular role and pre-production work has also begun. Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films will be producing this big-budget film that will be mounted on a massive scale. Pathaan Pre-Sales Continuing The Blockbuster Streak Of Spy Universe Films

Mumbai, January 23 - The advance booking of Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham's Pathaan which started with a thunderous response has broken every record of Hindi films in terms of collections. The film has already beaten the weekend advance of War which was the previous record holder of Bollywood.## Pathaan is a part of Aditya Chopra's ambitious "Spy Universe" which started with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012. Going back into the database, we found that each film of the spy universe has set booking opening day records when they were released. ## Ek Tha Tiger (2012) was the first film in the universe and that film recorded approx 12 crores in advance business in 2012 which was the highest amount collected before release. The sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) also emerged as the highest advance booking film with approx 24.75 Cr collections.## War (2019) was the last film of the spy universe and the film had a booking collection of around 26 crores which was a record-breaking advance for any Hindi film. The latest on the trend is Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which is scheduled to release on January 25. The movie is getting heavy criticism for its song "Besharam Rang". ## Prime Minister Modi's remarks came on the second day of the BJP's national executive meeting, where he suggested that unnecessary remarks on irrelevant issues such as movies put the party's development agenda on the back burner, according to Hindustan Times. ## Earlier, Om Raut's "Adipurush" also faced boycott calls.
