Box Office: Vikram Vedha First Tuesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 4 - Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's action thriller Vikram Vedha has had a decent hold on Monday for Rs. 5.39 crores. The movie witnesses a jump of approx. 10% on the first Tuesday for an estimated 6 crores net. ## The jump on the first Tuesday is not big but considering the working day, the jump is a good sign for the film going forward. It also benefits due to the Dussehra holiday tomorrow as the night shows are stronger than yesterday. ## "Vikram Vedha" grossed 74 crores worldwide in the first four days, and including today's collection, the total collection has raced past 80 crores. The movie will see further jump tomorrow and all of sudden, the collection will look good. The movie is eyeing 100 crores (+/-) in the first week at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Pushkar-Gayatri, "Vikram Vedha" has the super positive word of mouth while critics' reviews are also strong. However, remake films have had great success in recent times and that is probably one reason which is keeping audiences away from visiting theaters in large numbers. Prabhas And Om Raut Talk About 'Adipurush' Being The Most Precious Film

Mumbai, October 4 - The teaser of Prabhas-fronted Adipurush was launched recently and it met with mixed reactions from the fans and critics. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is one of the most-awaited Indian films, but it seems the makers will have to spend more time on certain things to correct them before the final output is ready. ## "Adipurush" is Raut's take on the Hindu epic "Ramayana", by Valmiki, where Rama, the king of Ayodhya, travels to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita, who has been abducted by the king Ravana. The movie is set 7,000 years ago and in the film, Prabhas' character is not called Rama, he is Raghav, another name for Rama. Sita, played by Kriti Sanon, is called Janaki, while Saif Ali Khan's Ravana is Lankesh. ## Om Raut, in a recent interview with Variety, said that Prabhas was always his first choice for Raghav's character. "If it was not him, I would have not made the film", the filmmaker said and added that he designed the character to move beyond the "Prabhas persona". ## "The way he has played it is divine. It's extremely spiritual on many levels, yet at the same time, it's a commercial flick. So, it has that crazy balance of playing to the gallery, obviously, like everybody does, but at the same time, we had to maintain the sanctity and purity of the character and stay within that boundary and try to achieve what we want to achieve", Raut added.## It was not easy for Prabhas' to say yes to the movie because he thought it's the most precious film for the country and he had doubts if he could do justice to the character. But it was Raut who convinced him and asked not to worry about Raghav's role.## "Om designed the film for the present generation and wanted a swagger, which no other director could think of Adipurush like that. He designed it for kids and families. Even women love my action, so there's a lot of action. And, he designed it in a commercial way, so I think it's very happy news for the fans", Prabhas said.## Produced by T-Series and Retrophiles, "Adipurush" is scheduled to release on January 12, 2023, in Hindi, and Telugu along with dubbed versions of Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The Madras High Court Orders Blocking Over 13K Websites To Prevent 'Vikram Vedha' Piracy

Mumbai, October 3 - Superstar Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's action thriller Vikram Vedha is playing in theaters and doing decent business. While the makers are encouraging the audience to the film in theaters, there have been reports of the film getting leaked online. ## It has been reported that movie has been leaked online through various websites, and to prevent such activities, the Madras High Court has taken a big decision. ## According to Law Beat, the court recently passed an interim injunction restraining websites, including several unidentified ones, from infringing any copyright pertaining to "Vikram Vedha". Over 13,000 websites have been blocked to prevent piracy.## Reliance Entertainment Studio, the co-producer of the film filed a suit before the high court stating that it had invested substantial sums of money in the production of the film that had been released on over 4,000 screens across the country. ## Justice M Sundar passed the order on September 30, stating that the interim injunction shall operate for a period of six weeks. The court also ordered that the websites or any individual person must not record or reproduce any part of the film to make it available for public viewing, duplication, or distribution. ## Meanwhile, "Vikram Vedha", directed by Pushkar–Gayathri, grossed over 65 crores in the opening weekend at the worldwide box office. It is made in over 100 crores budget and has a decent run at the box office so far. The film is expected to get the benefit of the Dussehra holiday.## Stay tuned...

Vikram Vedha First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 3 - Vikram Vedha went down on the first Monday of its box office run as the early estimates suggest 5.50 crores net. The film has shown around a 50% drop from the first day when the first day itself was not good enough so the drop here is big. ## The first Monday collections will take the entire box office collections to over 42cr net mark in four days which is poor collections for a film of this magnitude. The film has underperformed clearly and even the appreciation of the film is very limited which makes the respectable lifetime number way more difficult.## The first week of business of the film is heading for a 60 crores net depending upon the drops. The budget is not huge but still, it's a big film due to the star cast and buzz and these numbers are not at the level which was expected from the film.## The gangster genre films have never worked in Hindi belts on big levels. There were a few films like Vaastav and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai which tested smaller levels of success but that's about it. But those were different times as films need to run close to 8-10 weeks to emerge successful so even with a low start they could survive but now it's all about initials and when a film fails to get much-needed initials, the respectable lifetime business becomes so hard due to very less.## Stay tuned...

Vikram Vedha First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 2 - Vikram Vedha which collected decently on the first two days did see some growth on the third day of its box office run though the growth is very negligible considering the film had such low collections on the first two days. ## The early estimate collections are set to be around 14.50 crores net box office collections which is again a low number for a huge action film like Vikram Vedha that too on Sunday. The limited growth pretty much tells about the appreciation of the film by the paying audience.## West Bengal continues to do his business as a standalone circuit but the northern belts and Mumbai proved to be a disaster for Vikram Vedha despite being frontloaded action films which these circuits prefer.## The first Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections to over the 37 crores mark and the minimum expectations from Vikram Vedha in the first weekend was 50cr so the film already has a shortfall of 13crs which will affect the lifetime business of the film. Los Angeles, October 2 - The Tamil movie is scripting history in the USA as filmmaker Mani Ratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 is going bonkers at the box office. ## The epic period action drama film has been sensational so far and becomes the first Tamil movie to score three one million days at the USA box office. The movie scored $1.05 million on the premiere, followed by $1.09 million on Friday, and now, the reported gross collection on Saturday is $1.09 million. The total collection in the USA has reached $3.23 million (Rs. 26.37 cr.). ## PS-1 has officially crossed Kamal Haasan's mega worldwide blockbuster Vikram, Tamil's highest-grossing film of 2022 at the USA box office. Vikram Vedha First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 1 - Vikram Vedha which had a below-average first day of 10.58 crores net box office collections has shown growth on the second day though the growth is not at the level which was expected from the film. The film has shown around 15% to 20% growth only when there was an expectation to hit 40-50%.## The growth also looks less due to very low opening day collections, especially for a film which is a mass entertainer starring a major star like Hrithik Roshan. The early estimate collections suggest 12.50-13 crores net.## Vikram Vedha has failed to attract even a decent audience in any circuit or center except for West Bengal where Hrithik Roshan has a better standing as a star. The entire North is silent for Vikram Vedha which is a surprise for a big action film with a popular star cast.## The first two days' collections will take the entire box office collections to over the 23cr net mark which is a low number. The film will get growth on Sunday and single-screen audiences might come in big numbers due to the holiday but since the appreciation of the film is not much, The growth could be limited. Mumbai, October 1 - SS Rajamouli's Baahubali The Conclusion became a massive blockbuster in the Hindi languages, and the movie established Prabhas as one of the biggest superstars in the country. While the movie was shot in Telugu, it was actor Sharad Kelkar who gave his voice to Prabhas' Baahubali, and this played a massive role in the film's huge success. ## After "Baahubali" Prabhas dubbed his own Hindi voice in his next two films' "Saaho" and "Radhe Shyam" and this didn't go well with the Hindi audience. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Rama in the movie which will showcase Ram's warrior side. "Sharad Kelkar has dubbed for the Hindi version of Adipurush. He will be the voice of Prabhas in the film, and ones who have heard the dub are already going berserk over the quality of dubbing", says the report. ## The teaser of "Adipurush" will be launched on October 2 in Ayodhya and it is believed to be spectacular. Mumbai, September 30 - The big box office release of the day "Vikram Vedha" starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in title roles has been released in theaters. Vikram Vedha has been released on over 4000 screens in India and close to 2000 screens overseas, making it one of the biggest releases ever in terms of size for the Hindi film industry.## There was huge anticipation for this film in core Hindi belts due to being an action genre film with Hrithik Roshan who excels in this genre like very few stars. If we go by the records then Hrithik Roshan is probably the 2nd biggest star in the action genre after Salman Khan but the action in Vikram Vedha is different from the likes of War, Bang Bang, and Dhoom as they catered to a universal audience and had the backing of huge production value, great music, excellent publicity, and big production house. Here, Vikram Vedha is devoid of such things.## The morning occupancy suggested that the film will be a nonstarter but it grew in the evening and if the pace continues in the night shows then it will be a positive result for the film due to its upward trajectory. The early estimate collections suggest 11.50 crores net but as said if night shows outperform then even a 12 crores opening could be achieved. ## Hrithik Roshan's last film War took a record-breaking start and the expectations from this film were more as he was coming after almost 3 years at the box office. If we compare the good old days then Hrithik Roshan's Kites had collected similar numbers on the first day in 2010 and that was on nonholiday too.## There are no centers that recorded big audiences but if you compare standalone then West Bengal has done good business on the first day probably due to festivities and Hrithik Roshan. Surprisingly Delhi/UP has done better than Mumbai despite the content catering more to the Mumbai audience due to being a dark action thriller film. 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' Becomes The Third Highest-Grossing Indian Movie of 2022

Mumbai, September 30 - Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has become the third highest-grossing Indian film during the entire covid-19 pandemic.## The fantasy action adventure film has grossed over Rs. 416 crores at the worldwide box office, crossing Kamal Haasan's mega-blockbuster Vikram's Rs. 414.43 crores gross. Vikram Vedha Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Mumbai, September 29 - Bollywood is on an edge of the seat again, this time to know the box office fate of Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Vedha, which is releasing on September 30.
