Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan' Teaser Scores 2nd Most Views On YouTube In The First 24-Hours In Hindi

Mumbai, April 1 - Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan is gearing up for its worldwide release on June 23rd in multiple languages. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962). It stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim along with Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh, and Gajraj Rao with music composed by legendary AR Rahman.## Meanwhile, the teaser of "Maidaan" was first released on March 30 with Devgn's "Bholaa" in theaters before it was launched online later in the day. The 1-minute and 30 seconds teaser showed a glimpse into a football match between India and Yugoslavia in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics in which Indian players played barefoot. ## The teaser is filled with a bunch of training montages, some stunning goals in slow-motion, a glimpse of the attacks the team faced, the turmoils Rahim faced, and some electrifying pep talks by Devgn. It received anonymous positive responses from viewers who lauded it as another winner for the versatile actor. ## "Maidaan's" teaser has crossed 50 million views across all platforms, and it was the second most viewed Hindi teaser ever on YouTube in the first 24 hours. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Filming To Be Wrapped By Mid-April; Film On Track For June 2 Release

Mumbai, April 1 - After the once-in-a-lifetime kind of box office performance with Pathaan, the focus has now shifted to superstar Shah Rukh Khan's next mass entertainer Jawan which is nearing its shoot completion. ## Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan has been in production since last year and as per the latest reports, it will be wrapped up by mid-April. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra Sequels To Be Shot Simultaneously

Mumbai, April 1 - Director Ayan Mukerji's ambitious project Brahmastra had its theatrical debut last year with the first part Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt among others in the key roles. ## After the successful outing of the first of the Brahmastra trilogy, the filmmaker is now working on the next two chapters in the fantasy adventure franchise. During a recent interview with News18, Ayan Mukerji revealed that Brahmastra 2 & 3 would be shot simultaneously for which the writing is underway. ## The first Brahmastra movie, although it received praise for visuals and VFX, did receive a little criticism for poor dialogue writing. Mukerji said that he will write the scripts of the next two films without compromising and this will take some time.## "We will make Brahmastra 2 and 3 together. The truth is we are going to take a little bit of time to write it. I know there's a lot of anticipation. People want the (second part) film to come out. But first, we will write it properly without compromising it. I think it will be about three years from now before we see Brahmastra 2 on the big screen", said Ayan. ## Talking about Brahmastra's dialogues, Ayan said, "We did get some mixed reactions. Box Office: Bholaa First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, March 31 - Bholaa which had a decent opening day of 11.20 crores net has shown a drop of around 35% on its second day. The drop was expected as the first day was helped by the partial holiday of Ram Navami and films do drop after partial holidays or national holidays especially when the next day is a working day but here the drop is more than expected especially considering the first day was not a big day at the box office. ## The early estimate collections suggest 7+ crores net on the first Friday. This will take the first two days of collections to around the 18.20cr net box office mark. Tomorrow is Saturday and the film should show a growth of around 20-25% or even more to come at the first-day levels. The combined business of Saturday and Sunday should be around the 30cr net mark for any chance of survival at the box office. ## Single screens continue to draw a big audience, especially in the mass circuits of UP and Bihar, also this is where Ajay Devgn has the biggest popularity. Bholaa Opening Day Early Estimates; Starts With Double Digit Collection

Mumbai, 30th March 2023: The big release of the day Bholaa starring Ajay Devgn in the titular role has been released at the box office. The film has been released on Thursday to take the Advantage of Ram Navami holiday which is huge in the northern circuits and Bholaa as a film caters more to those northern circuits due to the action factor so it was a good decision to come on Thursday. ## Bholaa took a decent opening In the morning shows in terms of occupancies but multiplexes started on a poor note which was expected due to the action film and also Bholaa tilt more towards the dark zone. The opening is well on the single screens due to the Ajay Devgn and action factor and also due to the partial holiday. ## The early estimates of collections are set to be around the 11cr net box office mark which is a decent start for a film like Bholaa if the weekend sees good growth. The opening has given the film a chance to succeed at the box office while the weekend will determine whether it is a hit film or not. The opening of the film is similar to the likes of Shamshera and Samrat Prithviraj though it is lower than Tu Jhuthi Main Makkar and also the last Ajay Devgn film Drishyam2. ## Bholaa might see a drop tomorrow as it will be a working Friday after the first day which was a partial holiday and also it consumed a good chunk of business. After 'Sui Dhaaga', YRF To Release Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' and Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani 2' In China

Mumbai, March 30 - After the super successful distribution in around 100 countries, Yash Raj Films is all set to release its mega-blockbuster Pathaan starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone in China, Japan, and Latin America. ## Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, was released on January 25 this year and went on to cross approx. 1050 crores worldwide, becoming one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time. Now, YRF is planning for its wide release in China, which has emerged as a huge market for Hindi films over the years. ## YRF is releasing its social comedy-drama "Sui Dhaaga – Made In India" (2018) in China on March 31. The studio's "Hichki" (2018) starring Rani Mukerji was massively successful in China, grossing around $21 million. ## Apart from "Sui Dhaaga" and "Pathaan", YRF will also be releasing Rani Mukerji's "Mardaani 2" (2019) in China. Ajay Devgn Talks About 'Bholaa' Cinematic Universe

Mumbai, March 25 - Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn's action thriller Bholaa is getting ready for its worldwide release on March 30. The much-awaited movie is the adaptation of the Tamil hit "Kaithi" which was directed by Lokesh Kangaraj and featured Karthi in the lead role. ## "Kaithi" was part of Kangaraj's cinematic universe which also includes Kamal Haasan's "Vikram". Now, with "Bholaa", Ajay Devgn is set to turn this into a franchise that will be completely different from Lokesh's version. ## During a recent interview with Variety, Devgn revealed that Bholaa ends on a note which will give the feel of the second part. He said that in the upcoming parts, new characters will be introduced and some of them might be revealed in "Bholaa" itself.## "Bholaa ends at a note where you will feel that there is going to be a part two, it would not be a similar part two like 'Vikram' or an adaptation. Because we will be bringing in different kinds of new characters. So yes, it will be a continuation, that's the approach to it", said Devgn.## Also starring Tabu, "Bholaa" is Devgn's 4th directorial and he promised never-before-seen action in this. Mumbai, March 23 - Director Anubhav Sinha's drama film Bheed seems to be going nowhere with its pre-sales and chances for its dull start at the box office looming large. ## Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, "Bheed" is set during the events of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India. It tells the story of how several characters in the film deal with the covid-19 lockdown and migrate to a place they feel safe. ## The movie did hit by controversy, however, despite the desperate attempt, it failed to generate any sort of buzz which was clearly visible in the advance booking which finished below 10 lac gross for the opening day. ## Given the fact that there was hardly any awareness among the moviegoers and dull response in the pre-booking, "Bheed" was always going to struggle at the box office and that's what happened with it with the opening of around 30 lacs. It held well on its second Monday for approx. 2.40 crores, pushing total net collection to over 111.50 crores in 13 days.## TJMM has entered among the top 5 highest-grossing films of Ranbir Kapoor at the domestic box office. On its second Tuesday, the movie crossed the lifetime net collection of Ranbir's "Barfi!" (112.10 crores) and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" (113.20 crores) to become his 4th biggest net scorer. ## Produced by Luv Films and T-Series, TJMM is Ranbir's 7th 100 crores grosser.
