Kofi Kingston Says Xavier Woods Is 'Just A Matter Of Time' Away From Becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion

BY SACNILK

Kofi Kingston possesses an intimate understanding of the exhilarating journey to WWE Championship glory, a path that he traversed with unyielding determination in 2019. His rise to the upper echelons of the industry culminated in a monumental triumph, as he emerged victorious in a captivating showdown against Daniel Bryan at the hallowed grandeur of WrestleMania 35, triumphantly securing the coveted WWE Title. ## Regrettably, Kingston's reign atop the WWE mountain was ephemeral, succumbing to the mighty force of Brock Lesnar on that fateful night of October 4, 2019, during an electrifying episode of SmackDown on the esteemed FOX network. However, Kofi Kingston, a true visionary and perceptive soul, perceives the promise of greatness within his esteemed comrade, Xavier Woods. ## During an enlightening appearance on the illustrious Battleground Podcast, Kingston unabashedly expressed his conviction that Xavier Woods possesses all the essential attributes to ascend to the lofty status of WWE World Heavyweight Champion. With unwavering confidence, Kingston espoused, "It's imminent, my friends. Mark my words, the time shall come. As I continue my absence from the squared circle, Woods has been gallantly forging his own path, showcasing his unparalleled talents as a singular force in the singles competition. Sadly, the masses remain unaware of the vast reservoir of aptitude that lies within him. Nevertheless, week after week, he valiantly demonstrates his mettle, leaving an indelible mark. It is only a matter of time before destiny intertwines with opportunity, and Woods claims his rightful place at the apex of our industry." ## Indeed, the stage is set for a captivating tale to unfold, an engrossing narrative that transcends the confines of the ring. The intricacies of this prophecy were subtly woven into the fabric of our consciousness during a remarkable livestream event on the acclaimed Up, Up, Down, Down platform. Under the evocative theme of "School's Out," Woods and his arch-nemesis, The Miz, engaged in a spirited rivalry through the medium of video games. A tantalizing stipulation was introduced into this digital duel, whereupon each time Woods emerged triumphant against The Miz, the esteemed competitor would be compelled to relinquish one of his cherished replica titles. And lo and behold, the climactic moment arrived, as Woods valiantly conquered The Miz, thus vanquishing him for his very own WWE Championship replica. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Booker T Predicts One Of WWE’s Top Stars Will Leave Pro Wrestling Behind Within The Next Five Years

BY SACNILK

Booker T astutely predicts that one of WWE's esteemed luminaries will relinquish the world of professional wrestling within the next five years. ## Charlotte Flair, a luminous luminary who ascended rapidly within the company's ranks, soared as one of NXT's illustrious 'Four Horsewomen,' alongside the remarkable Becky Lynch, the talented Bayley, and the incomparable Sasha Banks, now known as NJPW's distinguished Mercedes Mone. ## These formidable women spearheaded the monumental Women's Revolution within the company upon their transition to the main roster in 2015. Amongst this quartet, Flair undeniably etched her name upon the annals of triumph, securing the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships a staggering total of 14 times. ## Furthermore, she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Lynch and Ronda Rousey, breaking down barriers and blazing trails as the pioneering women who headlined the grandeur of WrestleMania's 35th iteration. During a recent episode of his esteemed Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T engaged in a profound discussion regarding Flair's triumphs, alluding to her unswerving cognizance of being the irrefutable focal point of the spectacle. ## “She’s the star of the show. She knows it. Everybody else knows it. Fall in line. It’s the best thing going today. You don’t have to like it, but you better learn to love it … It’s only fitting.” ## “She’s the best at what she does, man. Wrestling is literally going to be something in her rearview mirror in the next five years, just because there’s so much more out there for her right now. And I think she knows that, too. I think she wants more. ## “This wrestling thing for Charlotte Flair has been a pit stop [or] a bump in the road. She got the world in the palm of her hand. Road Dogg Challenges Tradition: Are The New WWE Title Belts Enough To Consider Roman Reigns 'Undisputed'?

BY SACNILK

In recent weeks, the WWE landscape has witnessed a remarkable transformation, as illustrious Superstars such as Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Asuka, and Rhea Ripley have been bestowed with resplendent championship belts, symbolizing an epochal shift in the industry. ## In a recent installment of his widely acclaimed podcast, Road Dogg eloquently expounded upon the innovative designs of these prestigious titles, elucidating their profound significance and paying homage to the rich tapestry of tradition cherished by Triple H, a paragon of traditionalism in the realm of professional wrestling. ## Road Dogg delved into the intricate details of these newly unveiled title belts, artfully conveying their refined aesthetics and their ability to capture the essence of the modern era while preserving the hallowed lineage of WWE. He eloquently expounded upon the craftsmanship that radiates from these magnificent symbols of excellence, highlighting their craftsmanship as an embodiment of Triple H's steadfast commitment to upholding the heritage and prestige of the industry. ## "Hunter has always been a traditionalist from his training with Kowalski to his mentoring by Flair. Everything he’s done has been with respect to tradition in this industry, You can’t just copy another title that was good. You don’t just go, 'Oh, people loved that one.' No, you have to be the innovator." ## Road Dogg also raised a pertinent inquiry regarding the utilization of the term "Undisputed" and its potential susceptibility to scrutiny as the storyline unfolds. ## "I think we’ve seen now, speaking very currently, is the women’s titles also have done the same thing. So you’re going to have a World champion or WWE Champion or Universal Champion and a world champion. I’m not sure where the names exactly lay now, and is Roman Reigns still 'undisputed?' I think things like that are going to come out and are really intriguing to me," he said. "It’s all intriguing to me. I love the new titles. They’re huge. They’re beautiful, but yet they’re big and plain too, and I think that’s tradition. Look, we all went the way of the big eagle and the big spinner and the big this and the big that. I think these go back to what a championship title looks like." ## Roman Reigns was bestowed with a novel accolade, commemorating his remarkable reign of 1,000 days as the WWE Universal Champion. In a similarly grand gesture, Asuka was granted a resplendent variant of the coveted title, distinguished by a pristine white strap, symbolizing her esteemed position as the WWE Women's Champion. Astonishingly, the championship belt proudly bears the inscription "Women's Undisputed Champion," underscoring Asuka's unrivaled supremacy. ## Furthermore, Seth Rollins seized the newly minted World Heavyweight Championship at the illustrious WWE Night of Champions. Demonstrating her unwavering ambition, Rhea Ripley relinquished her SmackDown Women's Championship in favor of the illustrious Women's World Championship, an exquisite rendition of the title triumphantly claimed by Seth Rollins. ## Notably, the prestigious Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship remains upheld by the remarkable duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Their tag team prowess is epitomized by the simultaneous possession of two championship title belts, symbolizing their dominance over the WWE Raw and SmackDown Tag Team divisions. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

This marks the first Payback since 2020 and the initial occurrence of a Saturday and September date.## The livestreaming will be available on Peacock in the United States and Binge in Australia. Trish Tratus ## WWE is promoting a showdown between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch at WWE Payback. ## During WWE Raw on Monday, Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch duked it out but the bout ended in a double count out. The skirmish spilled from the ring into the stands and even reached the concessions area. Zoey Stark, who was not allowed at ringside, jumped into the fray and attacked Lynch at the merchandise table, giving Trish the upper hand. Following the match, WWE official Adam Pearce declared that Trish and Becky would settle their differences in a cage match. ## For international audiences and on WWE Main Event, the upcoming cage match between Trish and Becky is being highlighted for WWE Payback. ## Seth "Freakin" Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: World Heavyweight Championship ## In the August 7 Raw show, Seth "Freakin" Rollins agreed to join Shinsuke Nakamura's team for a six-man tag match that same night. Their team came out victorious, but things took a turn when Nakamura attacked Rollins with a Kinshasa during the celebration, showing a change in attitude. ## In the following week, Nakamura declared his desire for the World Heavyweight Championship. This prompted Rollins to enter the ring and respond, stating that if Nakamura really wanted the championship, he was ready to defend it against Nakamura anytime. They shared a handshake, but Nakamura tricked everyone by acting like he was leaving, only to strike Rollins once again with a Kinshasa. On the next episode, it was announced that a title match between Rollins and Nakamura was set for the Payback event. ## Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez: Women's World Championship ## During the June 19 Raw episode, Raquel Rodriguez voiced her worries about Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley's actions following her bout with Natalya. Around that time, Rodriguez paired up with Liv Morgan and clinched the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. ## Ripley continued her post-match assaults on Natalya, resulting in a clash on the July 17 episode where Ripley accidentally injured Rodriguez's left knee. This unfortunate incident led to Rodriguez and Morgan losing the Women's Tag Team Championship in a later match on the same night. Morgan retaliated against Ripley, but the plans for a non-title match between them the following week were derailed due to Ripley injuring Morgan's arm, preventing the match from occurring. ## On the next episode, Rodriguez returned and got into a scuffle with Ripley, which sadly caused her to sustain another injury. Later that same night, WWE official Adam Pearce declared that Rodriguez hadn't been cleared by the medical team to compete. However, he assured everyone that once Rodriguez received medical clearance, she would be granted a match against Ripley. ## Moving to the August 21 episode, Rodriguez initiated an attack on Ripley and announced her medical clearance. Pearce took this opportunity to disclose that he had arranged a Women's World Championship match between Rodriguez and Ripley for Payback. ## WWE United States Championship Match: Rey Mysterio Vs. Austin Theory ## At WWE Payback, Austin Theory is set to try and win back the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio. Initially, Santos Escobar from LWO was supposed to challenge Theory for the U.S. Title on the August 11 SmackDown show. But before the match, Theory took down Escobar, so WWE Official Adam Pearce ensured that the fans in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, would still see the title match they were promised. ## Pearce replaced Escobar with Mysterio. Showing his determination, Mysterio used his signature move 619 and won the red, white, and blue title. This was the third time he achieved this in his long career. ## An angry Theory didn't waste any time and quickly got back on track to compete for the championship. He defeated LA Knight the next week, becoming the No. 1 Contender for the United States Championship with a little assistance from The Miz. ## Cody Rhodes to appear on “The Grayson Waller Effect” at WWE Payback ## At WWE Payback, get ready for "The Grayson Waller Effect" as "The Aussie Icon" is all set to have a chat with "The American" Nightmare Cody Rhodes on his popular talk show. ## Rhodes is Waller's guest after a series of tough fights against Brock Lesnar, which reached a high point with his victory at SummerSlam. However, Rhodes is still locked in a heated feud with The Judgment Day. ## On the other hand, Waller has rapidly gained recognition since he came to SmackDown. He's been in the spotlight due to his interactions with WWE legends like John Cena and United States Champion Rey Mysterio. He even had a match against "The Rated-R Superstar" Edge at Madison Square Garden. ## Singles Match: LA Knight vs. The Miz ## LA Knight's rise is showing no signs of slowing down. ## After emerging victorious in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam, Knight's momentum has been on the upswing. However, his growing popularity has rubbed one of WWE's seasoned Superstars, The Miz, the wrong way. The Miz was quite upset with Knight's rapid ascent and confronted the rising star on Raw, claiming that Knight had encroached on his photo shoot time. Despite The Miz explaining his displeasure, he ended up on the receiving end of a BFT from Knight, leaving him staring at the arena lights. ## The rivalry between them escalated with cheap shots and interference in each other's matches. On SmackDown, Knight had a chance to become the No. 1 Contender for the United States Championship. Unfortunately, The A-Lister's involvement led to Knight's defeat against Austin Theory. ## In the subsequent Raw, The Miz anticipated an easy win against Akira Tozawa. However, Knight played psychological games with him from ringside. The Miz's focus was disrupted, and he suffered an unexpected roll-up loss to Tozawa. This surprising turn of events left The Miz shocked and embarrassed. ## Steel City Street Fight tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (c) vs. The Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Finn Bálor) ## WWE Payback will witness Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defending their coveted championship belts. During the August 28 episode of WWE Raw, it was officially revealed that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are set to put their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against Finn Balor and Damian Priest, collectively known as The Judgment Day. This comes after Kevin Owens' return on the August 21 episode, following a previous attack from The Judgment Day that had left him sidelined. Over the past few months, Owens and Zayn have been embroiled in a feud with The Judgment Day, engaging in intense confrontations. ## However, The Judgment Day has been grappling with their own internal discord in recent weeks. Balor and Priest, the latter also holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, have faced challenges in aligning their objectives. Despite their differences, they are gearing up to unite their efforts and contend for the championship titles on September 2. ## Later in the same broadcast, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn emphasized their determination to bring an end to their ongoing rivalry with The Judgment Day. In pursuit of this goal, they declared that the title match will unfold as a Pittsburgh Steel City Street Fight. ## How to watch WWE Payback live streams in the US ## WWE's top-tier live events (now the favored term for its pay-per-view events) are available for live streaming exclusively on NBC Peacock in the United States.
