It wasn’t even close. But now, I mean, it is. It’s crazy, and people wanna say that somehow this isn’t hot. It is so hot. It’s the hottest wrestling has been since 2001, that’s 22 years, and people may look back and go, ‘Oh, they were doing three million viewers not that many years ago,’ although TV’s changed. They certainly weren’t doing these crowds on a regular basis like they are now. ## The crowds for the quarter would be some of the highest in many years, and so many other things when you look at them. Merchandise has never been higher, ever. Not in the Attitude Era, not in the Hulk Hogan era. Never as high as it is now. Roman is the catalyst. Cody Rhodes is doing great on Raw, no doubt about it. This figure reflected a two percent increase from the previous week and positioned SmackDown as the most-watched program across all network television that night, which is a rarity for the show. Notably, this episode marked the highest viewership since June 7 and ranked as SmackDown's second-highest viewership of the year so far. ## The episode took place at the iconic Madison Square Garden and featured an intriguing event called "The Trial of Roman Reigns." It marked Reigns' first appearance since his defeat by Jey Uso at Money in the Bank. ## Furthermore, SmackDown dominated the 18-49 demographic ratings, earning a 0.76 rating. This rating witnessed an impressive 10.1 percent increase from the previous week and surpassed the competition by more than triple. It's worth mentioning that this rating is the highest for SmackDown since Christmas night 2020, which benefited from an NFL lead-in.
