Siddharth Anand Counters Sandeep Reddy Vanga's India's Biggest Superstar Tag For Prabhas With His Shah Rukh Khan Epic King

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, November 3 — The Indian cinema has produced many superstars over the years, but the debate about who is the biggest superstar among all took a fresh turn this week after director Siddharth Anand's subtle yet powerful statement celebrating Shah Rukh Khan. The Pathaan filmmaker appeared to counter director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's recent declaration that Prabhas is "India's biggest superstar," made during the announcement of his upcoming film Spirit. Vanga's remark instantly ignited a discussion among fans and industry watchers on social media. While Prabhas' supporters saw it as a moment of chest thumping, many considered the claim provocative. There is no doubt that Prabhas has emerged as one of the biggest crowd pullers in recent times and has the right to be called one of the biggest stars in the country, but stardom often transcends mere box office numbers. When stars go beyond being “just a superstar” they are called 👑 Happy Birthday INDIA’s KING pic.twitter.com/NZmChE3OIy— Siddharth Anand (@justSidAnand) November 2, 2025 Shah Rukh Khan's fans, in particular, expressed disappointment over Vanga's claim, arguing that SRK's unmatched global reach and cultural influence make him the truest embodiment of Indian superstardom. As the conversation gained traction on social media, Siddharth Anand — who has once again joined hands with SRK for the much-awaited action thriller King — appeared to weigh in on the matter. Posting a photo with Shah Rukh Khan on the actor's birthday, Anand wrote, "When stars go beyond being just a superstar, they are called KING." The statement, though nonprovocative, was seen as a confident reaffirmation of Khan's enduring dominance in the cinematic landscape. With King now officially announced through a powerful first-look glimpse, Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan seem poised to redefine the limits of Indian stardom once again — reminding audiences that some legends don't just hold titles, they become them. The movie will release in 2026. Stay tuned...

Alpha Release Pushed YRFs Female-Led Spy Thriller Locks April 17 2026

BY SACNILK TEAM

Yash Raj Films has officially shifted Alpha, the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, to April 17, 2026. Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the high-octane action drama was earlier expected in 2025, but the makers have opted for more time in post-production — mainly to refine heavy-duty VFX work and maintain the franchise’s signature scale. Alpha is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious films in the spy universe. From large-scale action blocks to high-end digital effects, the scale seems massive, and the studio doesn’t want to rush it. Given the benchmark set by titles like Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan, the call makes strategic sense — polish over pressure. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari headline Alpha, the first female-led chapter in the YRF Spy Universe, marking a landmark shift for the franchise that has so far featured male protagonists like Pathaan, Tiger, and Kabir. The film is said to feature Bobby Deol in a pivotal antagonist role, adding serious star power to the showdown. Principal photography has already been completed, and the team is currently deep into post-production, focusing heavily on action design and visual scale to ensure the film delivers a sleek, stylish spy-action experience. With YRF reportedly determined to “leave no stone unturned” in achieving world-class execution, Alpha is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects in the studio’s celebrated spy universe. Here’s the latest official poster of Alpha as the makers gear up for its big 2026 release IT'S OFFICIAL... ALIA BHATT - SHARVARI: YRF SHIFTS 'ALPHA' TO NEXT YEAR... #YRFSpyUniverse's first female-led spy film, #Alpha, will now release on 17 April 2026.The post-production team needs additional time to complete the VFX, leading to the revised release date.… pic.twitter.com/2Ika67gqSX— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) November 3, 2025 Fans have waited long for the universe’s first female-driven espionage epic — and the move signals YRF’s belief that Alpha deserves the stage and scale to match its ambition. Stay tuned — the first reveal isn’t far away.

Drishyam 3 Malayalam Version Moves Ahead as Multilingual Plan Stalls

BY SACNILK TEAM

The Drishyam franchise has always been about timing, tension, and perfectly-placed secrets — and interestingly, that drama is now unfolding behind the screen too. While director Jeethu Joseph’s original plan was to roll out Drishyam 3 simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi, the ambitious multilingual dream has now hit turbulence. The Malayalam version — led by Mohanlal — is currently the only one on steady ground. The film is said to be in motion, marking the next chapter in Georgekutty’s iconic journey. With the director and original team aligned, the Malayalam instalment remains the core focus at the moment. The Telugu and Hindi versions, headlined by Venkatesh and Ajay Devgn respectively, are currently experiencing delays on multiple fronts. The Telugu production is said to be impacted by scheduling constraints, with Venkatesh committed to prior projects, while the Hindi version is reportedly navigating pace-slowing rights and legal discussions. Although the initial intention was to mount all versions together as a unified franchise rollout, aligning timelines, creative execution, and contractual clarity across industries has proven more complex than anticipated. While Malayalam fans are thrilled, there’s a key challenge here: If the Malayalam version releases first, the mystery — which is the franchise’s core strength — risks being revealed early. And for a thriller series built on twists, even a hint of the plot can dilute excitement elsewhere.Trade circles feel this could directly impact the theatrical performance of the Hindi and Telugu versions. Drishyam is a franchise where suspense isn’t just a tool — it’s the box office engine. It set a benchmark by delivering powerful thrillers across languages with tightly-kept secrets and coordinated release strategies. A unified Drishyam 3 rollout would have been a rare cinematic moment — three industries, one mystery. For now, though, that plan appears paused. Georgekutty is moving first. Whether Vijay Salgaonkar and Ram Babu follow closely — or wait from the sidelines — depends on how the production and rights puzzle resolves. For now, Malayalam audiences hold the first seat to the next big chapter. In short: an early Malayalam release may strengthen original-language hype but could weaken nationwide momentum for the other versions.

Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Pandey's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Release Date Gets Changed Again

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, September 14 – Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's much-awaited romantic comedy drama Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has undergone another release date shift after movie up from the New Year's Eve release. The movie was originally scheduled for its February 13, 2026, debut. On Monday, the makers announced that the TMMTMTTM will come early as it has been confirmed to hit the big screens on December 25, on the occasion of Christmas 2025, after Yash Raj Films' Alpha was postponed to April 2026. The decision to prepone the release is straightforward since Alpha is no longer releasing this year. By arriving on Christmas instead of December 31, the film has secured a relatively open window. The Christmas, followed by the New Year period, is considered a lucrative time for releases, with audiences in a festive mood and ready to embrace big-screen spectacles. Produced on a grand scale by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, Tu Meri Main Tera marks another collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday after their earlier pairing in Pati Patni Aur Woh. It also marks Kartik's reunion with director Sameer Vidwans after Satyeprem Ki Katha. With its new release date locked, Tu Meri Main Tera now becomes one of the most anticipated Bollywood films. Fans of Kartik and Ananya can look forward to celebrating Christmas and New Year with a fresh dose of romance on the big screen. Stay tuned...

Prabhas' Baahubali: The Epic Becomes The Highest-Grossing Indian Re-Release Film

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Hyderabad, November 3 - SS Rajamouli's action drama Baahubali: The Epic, the one-cut version of his epic Baahubali duology, has become the highest-grossing Indian re-release film of all time after it scored an excellent opening weekend globally. Starring Pan India superstar Prabhas in the title role, the movie grossed approximately 40 crores in its 3-day opening weekend at the worldwide box office, including around 29 crores domestically and 11 crores overseas. This makes it the biggest re-release Indian blockbuster. Baahubali: The Epic has beaten the lifetime re-release run of Harshvardhan Rane's Sanam Teri Kasam, which minted around 39 crores earlier this year. The entire collection of STK came from the domestic market, as it wasn't re-released internationally. Tumbbad is the third biggest grosser with around 37 crores. The 3-hour and 45-minute-long blockbuster is heading towards becoming the first Indian re-release title to gross 50 crores. As reported earlier, Baahubali: The Epic will need to gross over 100 crores domestically to make Baahubali: The Conclusion the biggest grosser in India, a title which the movie held for nearly 8 years before Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule claimed it earlier this year. Though the opening weekend collection of the film is excellent, it is unlikely to gross 100 crores domestically, which is a tough ask for a non-original movie. However, it needs to be seen how to fares during the weekdays as that will determine how far it can go at the box office. Stay tuned...

BY CHRISTA LINCY

The big moment for Tamil cinema’s next-gen filmmaker is getting closer. Jason Sanjay, son of superstar Vijay, is gearing up to unveil the first look of his debut directorial — starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead. The project, produced by Lyca Productions, is currently referred to by its working title, JS 01, with the final title expected to be revealed soon. The first look poster is scheduled to drop this month, setting the stage for a planned theatrical release in March next year. In a creative choice that’s already drawing curiosity, the makers have opted for an English title, signalling a contemporary flavour and a possibly broader audience intent. Interestingly, before Sundeep Kishan came onboard, Jason had reportedly narrated the script to Dulquer Salmaan — giving a glimpse of the film’s ambition and reach. Ultimately, Sundeep leads the project, marking a fresh pairing between an emerging filmmaker and a performer known for switching gears across languages and genres. While plot and genre specifics are still under wraps, industry talk suggests the film may lean into a tone and style that’s “different from usual Tamil cinema,” positioning it as a distinctive launchpad for Jason’s filmmaking career. Production footage and on-set glimpses released earlier have already sparked interest, adding to the curiosity around what the young filmmaker is aiming to bring to the table. As the official reveal cycle begins — starting with the first look — JS 01 is shaping into one of next year’s closely-watched Tamil debuts, not for its legacy connections alone, but for the fresh voices and choices surrounding it.
