Arshad Warsi Joins The Cast of Bachchan Pandey Led By Akshay Kumar

Arshad Warsi is all set to share screen space with superstar Akshay Kumar for the very first time. The Golmaal star has been roped in for Akshay starrer Bachchan Pandey which will go on floors in January 2021 in Jaisalmer and will continue till March 2021. ## Arshad Warsi will play Akshay's friend in the action-comedy which will see Akshay in a gangster avatar. Sara's character has an interesting mythological arc to it. In a major relief for actress Kangana Ranaut, the Bombay high court on Friday set aside the demolition order passed on September 9 by the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and held that the demolition action "was actuated by mala fides".## It held that the constructions done by her in her Bandra bungalow in Pali Hill, Bandra was "pre-existing" and not ongoing and also held that she is entitled to damages but appointed a valuer to help quantify it.## Soon after judgment came in favor of her, Kangana Ranaut shared a video on social media thanking the judicial system. She also thanked the people who supported her regarding this matter. "When individual stands against the government and wins, it's not the victory of the individual but it's the victory of the democracy. Thank you everyone who gave me courage and thanks to those who laughed at my broken dreams. She said she had completed renovations earlier and alleged "abuse of power" and "mala fide action" by the Shiv Sena ruled BMC.## The case was being heard by the division bench of Justices SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla, who said that the actress is allowed to make the bungalow habitable. However, it also said that the extent of the demolished position requires planning permission from the BMC.## The Court also asked to appoint a valuer to determine the compensation payable to the actress for the demolition of her property, which is to be submitted before the court in March 2021.## "We do not accept allegations made by the petitioner in view of the alleged atmosphere in the state of the film industry. The petitioner is suggested to maintain restrain on public platforms. Irresponsible statements made by the citizens are best ignored", the bench stated.## "Whatever be her statements, no action can lie except within four corners of the law. The manner in which action was carried out leaves hardly any doubt that it was against the law and sinister. With Ajay Devgn is set to direct legendary Amitabh Bachchan for the first in Mayday, the Yaariyan actress, Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in to play the female lead in the human-drama. Rakul, who previously acted with Ajay Devgn in De De Pyaar De, will enact the role of a pilot in the movie which is inspired by a real-life episode. Sonu Sood Named as State Icon of Punjab by Election Commission

Actor Sonu Sood who has been on the front during the lockdown caused by the covid-19 pandemic has been named as the state icon of Punjab by the Election Commission. ## The announcement was made on the Twitter handle by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab. It read, "The real hero of people is now the state icon of Punjab - Sonu Sood". ## The "Dabangg" actor has helped several migrants and other people amid the coronavirus lockdown by arranging foods and shelters for the people. He also helped people stranded abroad by bringing them home from different parts of the world. ## Earlier, Penguin Random House India had announced that Sonu Sood will be penning an autobiography that will be based on his experiences of helping people during the pandemic. The book will be co-written by Meena Iyer. While the movie lovers missed out the experience of watching Laxmii in theaters in India, the Akshay Kumar, and Kiara Advani starrer horror-comedy released overseas on the 9th of November. The remake of Tamil blockbuster Kanchana, Laxmi has performed very well in the overseas market as it has collected Rs. 2.75 crore in the first 7 days from 5 reported countries. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) emerged as the top grosser with INR 1.46 crores along with INR 70 lakh from Australia, INR 42 lakh from New Zealand, INR 17 lakh from Fiji, and around INR 19k from Papua New Guinea. As reported, Laxmii (earlier titled Laxmmi Bomb) released in 52 locations in Australia, 21 in New Zealand, 7 and 1 in Fiji and PNG respectively while the UAE yet to report.
