Dhanush To Collaborate With National Award-Winning Filmmaker Sekhar Kammula For A Trilingual Movie

Mumbai, June 18, 2021: Superstar Dhanush is on a roll at the moment. Having several projects already in the pipeline, the National Award-Winning actor has confirmed one more film, which will be a Pan India release. The Karnan actor has collaborated with another National Award-Winner filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for the yet-untitled breezy entertainer. ## Sekhar Kammula won the National Award for his debut directorial film, Dollar Dreams (2020), which is a Telugu-English bilingual movie. It will be the first time when Dhanush and Kammula working together on a film, which is trilingual, to be shot in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi simultaneously. The movie will also mark Dhanush's Telugu debut. ## The movie will be produced by Narayan Das K Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the production banner Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP which is a unit of Asian Group, the leading exhibition, and distribution company. Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios To Bring, Bell Bottom, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Attack, And Anniyan Remake In Theaters

Mumbai, June 17, 2021: Recently, Akshay Kumar announced the theatrical release of his much-awaited, spy thriller, Bell Bottom. The movie, amid the speculations of direct OTT release, has been slated for July 27 release. The announcement is welcomed by theaters and exhibitors, who believe that Bell Bottom will pave the way for others to bring the audiences to theaters. ## Now, Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, who recently acquired the theatrical rights of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, RRR, has also decided to bring Bell Bottom along with Gangubai Kathiawadi, Attack, and director Shankar's Anniyan Hindi remake, in theaters. This announcement has also put a full stop to speculations of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi's direct OTT release. ## Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama film, loosely based on a true story, on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by S. Hussain Zaidi. The film depicts the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. It stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, along with Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and Seema Pahwa playing Pivotal roles, Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi featured in an extended cameo appearance. As of now, the movie is slated for July 30, 2021, release. ## Attack is an action thriller film directed and co-written by Lakshya Raj Anand. It stars John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Produced by Jayantilal Gada, John Abraham, and Ajay Kapoor, the story of Attack is inspired by true events, based on the hostage crisis. It is scheduled for release on 13 August 2021. ## The period action drama film, RRR, is an ambitious project of director SS Rajamouli, after his historical blockbuster Baahubali films starring Prabhas. RRR is a fictional story about India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR essay the roles of Sitarama Raju, and Komaram Bheem respectively while Alia Bhatt Ajay Devgn, and British actress Olivia Morris play pivotal roles. Produced by D. V. V. Danayya, RRR will be distributed by Lyca Productions in Tamil Nadu, and Pen Studios in North India. It is slated to release on October 13 in multiple languages. ## Dr. Jayantilal Gada will also be producing the Hindi remake of Shankar's own directorial 2005 Tamil psychological action thriller, "Anniyan" starring Chiyaan Vikram. Co-produced by God Bless Entertainment, the remake will star Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The movie will go on floors in mid-2022. Filmmaker & IFDTA President, Ashoke Pandit Demands FIR Against Swara Bhaskar For Inciting Communal Violence

Mumbai, June 16, 2021: Filmmaker and the president of the Indian Film & Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) on Wednesday (June 16) took to social media and demanded an FIR against Bollywood actress, Swara Bhaskar for "inciting communal violence". ## Ashoke Pandit's reaction came after Swara's tweeted on a viral video in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, in which a man was thrashed and his beard was chopped off. "RW & Sanghis vomiting on my timeline 'coz Ghaziabad police named 3 Muslims. Jackasses the prime accused is literally a Pravesh Gujjar. The man is on camera forcing the old man to chant #JaiShriRam Yes it is a desecration of my God and my religion and I’m ashamed.. as shud you be", Swara tweeted. ## However, according to the Ghaziabad police, there is no communal angle in the incident. The FIR, registered against the accused, informed that Ghaziabad police have arrested the three accused who had trashed the elderly victim. ## Ghaziabad Police on Tuesday also filed FIR against nine entities, who without checking the fact, started giving communal colour to the incident on Twitter and caught spreading messages to disrupt the peace and bring differences between the religious communities. Among the nine entities - Twitter and Twitter Communications India Pvt are also included, who did nothing to prevent the video from getting viral. ## After knowing the truth, Ashoke Pandit lashed out at Swara and asked Ghaziabad police to file an FIR against the "Rasbhari" actress as well. Ayushmann Khurrana To Reunite With Aanand L Rai For A Multi-Genre Drama Film?

Mumbai, June 16, 2021: Ayushmann Khurrana had teamed up with filmmaker Aanand L Rai for the first time for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, directed by R.S. Prasanna. The duo then came together for its sequel, Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan, directed by Hitesh Kewalya. And now, it is learnt that the actor is teaming up with Rai's next production, which marks his third collaboration with the filmmaker. ## According to reports, Ayushmann has signed Rai's next film which is completely different from their previous two projects. The movie, which is said to be a big-budget, multi-genre drama, will present Ayushmann in a never-seen-before avatar and will largely be shot in the US. Lokesh Kanagaraj Unlikely To Direct Hindi Remake Of Tamil Blockbuster, Master

Mumbai, June 15, 2021: Tamil superstar, Thalapathy Vijay's big mass action entertainer, "Master", was the first big budgeted film to release in theaters on January 13 amid the covid-19 pandemic. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial became an instant blockbuster and re-inbuild confidence in producers to release their films. ## On January 15, producer Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios along with Endemol Shine India, and 7 Screen Studio bought the Hindi remake rights of Master. Recently, it was reported that Salman Khan has been roped in to play the titular role in the remake. The actor liked the film and he expected to announce the film next month in July. ## According to Box Office Worldwide, the makers of the Hindi remake also approached the director Lokesh Kanagaraj to helm the Hindi version also. The report further said that Lokesh is yet to confirm, and most likly, he won't be helming the Hindi version due to his other commitments. Has Akshay Kumar Agreed To Take A Pay Cut For Bell Bottom? The Actor Responds

Mumbai, June 14, 2021: Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom is one of the most awaited films. The movie was originally slated to release on April 2, 2021, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers forced to postpone it to May 28, which again got hit by the pandemic. The delay was not accounted for and also resulted in a spike in the budget of Bell Bottom. Considering that the movie mainly caters to tier 1 and 2 cities, the makers want to keep the budget in check so that it can recover when it releases. According to Bollywood Hungama, producer, Vashu Bhagnani requested Akshay Kumar to scale down his acting fees by Rs. 30 crores, for which, according to the report, the actor agreed as he is aware of the on-ground scenario. The report also stated that Akshay had initially charged Rs. 117 crores for acting in Bell Bottom, which is now reduced to Rs. 87 crores. Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is signed to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film. ## However, according to reports, the Hindi remake of Kaithi will undergo many changes and will be different from the original movie. While the Tamil movie had no leading actress, Kajal Aggarwal is likely to romance Ajay Devgn in the Hindi version. It is said that makers are planning to include a heroine and a flashback episode with Ajay. ## If reports are to be believed, then Kajal is all set to reunite with Devgn after the 2011 blockbuster Singham. Kajal's inclusion in the Kaithi remake means, it is set to be remodeled as a commercial entertainer, unlike the Tami version, which was a bona fide action thriller. ## Interestingly, director Lokesh Kanagaraj's films are selling like hotcakes in Bollywood. Sooryavanshi To Hit Theaters On Independence Day But Under New Terms With Exhibitors?

Mumbai, June 12, 2021: It's been a long time since the last big Bollywood star movie released in theaters. The covid-19 pandemic keeps playing a spoilsport for many films, and one of them is Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie also star Katrina Kaif as the female lead while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh also have special appearances. ## Sooryavanshi was originally scheduled to release in March 2020 and has since had a number of release dates confirmed until the situation with the pandemic in India began to worsen. However, there is good news regarding the new release date of the film and it is that the movie could release on 15 August 2021 in theaters. ## According to Box Office Worldwide, Reliance Entertainment has initiated a conversation with exhibitors about the new release date of Sooryavanshi. However, the makers have put forth their new terms for exhibitors that they won't be paying any Voluntary Provident Fund charges as post-lockdown it should be a new norm to reduce the burden on producers. ## The report further stated that makers have also proposed the new revenue sharing percentage which will be 60% for the 1st week, 50% for the 2nd week & 40% for the 3rd week and onwards. Mumbai, June 11, 2021: Telugu star Ravi Teja's action thriller movie, Khiladi is yet to hit the theater screens, but it seems the movie has already caught the attention of Bollywood. According to the latest development in Bollywood, superstar Salman Khan has reportadly bought the Hindi remake rights of Khiladi. ## It is reported that Salman enjoyed that the recently released trailer of Khiladi, and he looked interested to make its Hindi version. He has reportadly approached director Ramesh Varma, who has helmed the Telugu version, to direct the film's Hindi version as well. Delhi High Court Rejects Sushant Singh Rajput's Father's Plea To Stay Release Of Nyaay: The Justice

Delhi, June 10, 2021: The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to stay the release of the film "Nyaay: The Justice", which is said to be based on the life of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The Delhi HC, chaired by Justice Sanjeev Narula dismissed the plea filed by Sushant's father, KK Singh seeking a ban on the film. ## According to News18, some of the upcoming or proposed movie projects mentioned in the plea include "Nyay: The Justice", "Suicide or Murder: A star was lost", "Shashank", among other unnamed crowd-funded films. The High Court told in its order that "Nyay: The Justice" does not depict Sushant's caricature, name, or likeness as it is not a biopic on him. ## The submission was made by the producers and director of the film, which is scheduled to be released in June. After hearing arguments of both sides, Justice Sanjeev Narula reserved judgment in the matter and asked the producers and director of the film not to release the movie till the court pronounces its verdict.## In the plea filed by KK Singh, he said that the filmmakers are taking advantage of the situation for commercial gains and therefore, the right to freedom of speech and expression would not apply to them. He also sought damages of over Rs 2 crores from the filmmakers for loss of reputation, mental trauma, and harassment to the SSR family. ## Nyay: The Justice is directed by Dilip Gulati and produced by Sarla A.
