No To OTT: KGF Makers Rejects A Whopping Offer For Direct-To-Digital Release Of KGF: Chapter 2!
Bengaluru, August 12, 2021: The Kannada movie, which has made the nation go crazy, KGF: Chapter 2 has been waiting for its release for a long time now. The fans of Yash are eager to watch this magnum opus on the big screen and their wait is getting longer, all because of the covid-19 pandemic. Despite the delay in release, the movie is creating the right amount of buzz, and it has been building up with each passing day. ## While the covid-19 situation is easing up across the country, the fact that still haunts everyone is the announcement of the KGF Chapter 2 final release date. Makers, however, had already reiterated that the sequel to the 2018 movie won't budge from its theatrical release, despite the warning of a possible third covid-19 wave. ## Meanwhile, the streaming platforms are keeping their eyes on this biggie and are offering tempting amounts to the makers for the direct-to-digital release of the movie. According to the latest reports, Amazon Prime Video had offered a huge sum of Rs. 255 crores for the digital premiere of KGF2, but the makers turned down the offer to stick to their theatrical release plan. ## There is no doubt that the amount which was reportadly offered to the makers is huge enough to grab the gold, but considering the Pan-India demand of the movie, the makers have done the right thing by not accepting this. According to the trade buzz, KGF: Chapter 2 may earn Rs. 600-700 crores in theaters, and to make that happen, makers won't be shy to delay the release. ## Earlier the Rocking Star Yash said, "No matter how long we have to wait we will wait to release KGF 2 in theatres only. If the audience can wait, so can we". ## KGF: Chapter 2 is a period action film, directed by Prasanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. It is the most expensive Kannada film with a budget of ₹100 crores. It boosts with a solid cast including Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj. ## Stay tuned...
