Mumbai, May 17 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's aerial action thriller Sky Force commenced filming last week. The movie, which is set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force, is being co-directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur while Maddock Films and Jio Studios are on board to bankroll. ## Now, as per the latest reports, the makers have locked Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya to play a prominent role in the movie, which marks his acting debut. It is said that Veer was waiting for the right opportunity and after going through multiple scripts, he grabs this Akshay Kumar biggie. ## The makers were also looking for a fresh face to accompany Akshay Kumar in this big-budget entertainer and they finally locks Veer Pahariya for a parallel lead role in the film. Meanwhile, Veer has been in the news for his dating rumors with actress Janhvi Kapoor. ## The plot of "Sky Force" is said to be essentially a mentor protégé tale in which Akshay plays a senior officer and Veer is his disciple. As revealed earlier, the movie will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period.## The makers are working together to keep the film as authentic as possible rather than making it a VFX-heavy product, hence, they will be shooting in real locations. The rest of the cast is currently in the process of being locked and details about them will be revealed once the entire cast is finalized. Mumbai, May 16 - It is known to everyone that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is doing an aerial action thriller film, titled Sky Force with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios. ## "Sky Force", which is being co-directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, is touted to be a true cinematic tentpole. The movie is based on true events and celebrates one of the greatest triumphs of the Indian Air Force. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, Akshay has allotted 4 months to shoot the film and has already completed a short first schedule, beginning on May 9 in a Mumbai studio. It was a brief schedule where some talkie portions were filmed with Akshay and other cast members.## The report further revealed that the main schedule will begin next month and will continue through October 2023. The action-packed thriller will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer in the movie.## Akshay Kumar has already finished the highly-awaited action entertainer "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan", scheduled to release on Eid 2024, under the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar and will complete the remaining portion for Dharma Productions' C. Shankaran Nair biopic this month before focusing solely on "Sky Force".## Meanwhile, Akki already has a number of films lined up for release this year and next year. Mumbai, March 8 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will be teaming up with director Mudassar Aziz and producer Dinesh Vijan for two different films. While there is no official confirmation from the makers yet, Akshay's film with Mudassar is reportedly titled "Khel Khel Mein" and "Sky Force" is the title of Vijan's production. ## Akshay is at present on a tour to the US for his live concert titled "The Entertainers". Soon after, he will head to Europe to commence work on the international schedule of director Ali Abbas Zadar's highly-anticipated "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan", co-starring Tiger Shroff. He is expected to call a wrap on BMCM by mid-April this year.## Now, according to the latest reports, right after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akki will move on to Khel Khel Mein, which is an out-and-out comedy entertainer. The film will reportedly be shot completely in the UK over a period of one month in April and May. ## As has been the case with Akshay throughout his career, he won't be taking a break after Khel Khel Mein, instead, he will start Vijan's Sky Force in May itself. "The actor plays the role of an Indian Air Force Officer and the film celebrates one of the biggest victories of the Indian Air Force. The story is based on true events and the team is looking to start working on Sky Force from May 2023", reports Pinkvilla. ## The pre-production on Sky Force is going on in full swing. It will be the first time that Akshay will play an Air Force Officer for the first time. The report says a newcomer will join Akki playing his junior.
