Mumbai, October 8 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and actress Sreeleela teamed up for director Anurag Basu's musical romantic drama film. The film was originally supposed to be titled Aashiqui 3, but the makers dropped the idea due to copyright issues. The movie has gone through some changes. According to the latest reports, the movie is currently being reshoot for a major portion. It is said that 10 days' worth of scenes that were already shot have been completely scrapped. Meanwhile, the film has reportedly been titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. It has been taken for the title song of the Aashiqui film. "When choosing the title, it was a pre-emptive move by the makers to avoid making a direct reference to Aashiqui. The team wanted a name that evoked nostalgia but didn't risk legal or creative complications. Tu Meri Zindagi Hai felt like the perfect fit", says the report by Mid-Day. Aashiqui has been a cult franchise, but due to creative differences between producer Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt before they parted ways, the makers can't use the same title as the film. But the makers feel that Tu Meri Zindagi Hai fits perfectly while avoiding legal complications. "It's a classic love story with Basu's signature treatment of the genre. With the release more than six months away, it gives the team time to weave in some additional tracks. The latest schedule is underway in Mumbai, and the film will be shot till 2025-end, with patchwork spilling on to early 2026", the report added. Mumbai, October 6 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3, co-starring Arshad Warsi, has had a decent hold in its third weekend at the domestic box office, despite the arrival of two new releases in the form of Kantara Chapter 1 and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar. Jolly LLB 3, which had already crossed 100 crores net during the second week, started its third weekend with 1.15 crores net, getting the advantage of Dusshera and Gandhi Jayanti holiday. It scored over 50% on Saturday for around 1.75 crores net, followed by another decent jump on Sunday to mint 2.15 crores. The Subhash Kapoor directorial minted approximately 5 crores net in its third weekend, pushing total net collection to 108 crores in 17 days. The third weekend trend, though, is on the lower level overall, indicating that the movie has some gas still left, which should help it reach 115 crores lifetime net collection. Jolly LLB 2 is currently the biggest grosser of the franchise with 117 crores net collections. It needs to be seen if the third instalment can cross that figure and become the biggest net grosser of the franchise. It is said that Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, led by director Nitin Kakkar, have a 40-day schedule lined up in Bangkok, Thailand, after which they will shoot extensively in Mumbai to wrap up the sequel by the year-end. While all eyes were on the Thamma trailer, Shraddha delighted the fans that before Stree 3, there will be an animated film titled Chhoti Stree based on the popular character. The animated movie will explore the backstory of Stree and will reportedly end with a scene of Stree 3, which will be released in 2027. "Kids and adults all watch Stree together. The interesting bit about Chhoti Stree is the way Amar and Niren have conceptualised it. It'll end with a scene from Stree 3. So, it'll transform from an animation to a live-action movie in the end. Mumbai, September 26 - The Dussehra 2025 box office clash between South biggie Kantara Chapter 1 and the much-awaited Bollywood romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari seems to be taking an ugly turn after the makers demand exclusive excessive showcasing for the Kantara prequel. With less than a week to go before the release, the makers of both films are leaving no stone unturned to make their films reach the maximum audience, and in between, a dispute over showcasing has started making headlines. According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, AA Films, the distributors of Kanatar 2, have sent an email to the exhibitors regarding their requirement for the shows. It is said that "they have demanded that all shows in single-screen and 12 shows in two-screen cinemas. The latter also amounts to all shows; they mention the same clearly in the mail to avoid any confusion. Shockingly, they have also asked for 18 shows in three-screen multiplexes, which, in other words, also amounts to every show." The Kantara makers are very well aware that Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar is releasing on the same day, yet they have asked for such a showcase in the Hindi belt, which is not just unreasonable, but also laughable. An exhibitor, on condition of anonymity, told Bollywood Hungama, "I don't agree with this unreasonable demand. We understand that Kantara is a highly anticipated film. But then, even Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari also looks like a fun entertainer, which will attract family audiences and youth. Hence, I'd like to play that film as well."
