Netflix's 'Stranger Things' To Have A Crossover With Ryan Reynolds' 'Deadpool'; Hints Series Producer

Los Angeles, September 13 - Netflix's sci-fi horror drama series, Stanger Things has been a smash hit worldwide and is getting ready for its fifth and final season, which is currently in the writing stage. Meanwhile, Netflix is planning to follow in the footsteps of MCU regarding Stranger Things. ## Series executive producer and director Shawn Levy said that he working on the idea of creating a Stranger Things Cinematic Universe (STCU). ## "Yes, we are building out the STCU, and now that I'm spending time with Kevin Feige, I'm learning a lot about how to manage a universe", Levy said in an interview with Variety. "So I'm taking those skills and applying them to the STCU". ## ICYDK, Levy has been hired to direct the next installment in the Deadpool franchise and has been working with Marvel boss Kevin Feige on the upcoming movie. He was asked if there could be a crossover between the residents of Hawkins and Wade Wilson aka the Deadpool.## "Funnily enough, (Deadpool" star Ryan (Reynolds) and I were trying to figure out how in the world could we do a 'Deadpool' - 'Stranger Things' crossover", he said. Thanos May Return In The Future Marvel Cinematic Universe Films, Hints Its Creator

Los Angeles, September 13 - Thanos is arguably the most loved Marvel villain, who made his first presence in the MCU during the post-credits sequence to "The Avengers" in 2012. Later, the mad Titan appeared in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Guardians of the Galaxy". ## After the brief appearances in the aforementioned films, Thanos was finally made in "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame" as the primary villain in both movies, effectively making him the "big bad" of Marvel Studios' Infinity Saga. However, Thanos and his forces wiped out after Tony Stark aka Iron Man famously gave his life to save the universe. ## However, Jim Starlin, who created Thanos in the '70s and is known for his work with both Marvel and DC, believes that the famous Marvel villain may return in future MUC films. He spoke to Inverse about Marvel Studios' use of Thanos in their movies. ## Starlin said that Marvel is yet to be done with Thanos and shared his confidence that fans will see him again on-screen. "Well, I think he probably hits a nerve. He raises questions that a number of us have thought about. He's also just a badass character. I don't think anybody thinks we've seen the last of him. Disney made a shitload of money off of him and there's probably a shitload of money still to be made. So my fingers are crossed". ## Since Marvel is exploring the multiverse concept, the writer and artist discussed how it could pave the way for the possibility of bringing back Thanos. "I've heard Marvel may want to use some other characters I've done. I think they're running out. Now that they've got this multiverse, there's the possibility of bringing back Thanos. The character first appeared in the season finale of "Loki" as He Who Remains, but will introduce his next more sinister variant in Ant-Man 3. ## Kang the Conquerer is already a big comic book character and the with the announcement of The Kang Dynasty, it has been confirmed that the character is going to make a huge impact as a prevailing villain in the MCU lineup. ## Majors' Kang is also set to appear in another Phase 5 project, "Loki" season 2, of which, footage from that project at D23 revealed Kang's impact throughout the multiverse and at the TVA. The filmmaker wasn't present at D23 in person but did send in a video for attendees to offer updates on the upcoming Avatar sequels. ## Cameron's long-awaited "Avatar: The Way of Water" closed out the Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century panel at the D23 Expo Saturday by handing out 3-D glasses to everyone in the audience and showing off six extended scenes from the movie, scheduled to release in December this year. The post-production continues on "Avatar 2". ## Coming 13 years after the release of the original film, "Avatar 2" focuses on the oceans of Pandora, as new performance capture technology has been developed specifically for Cameron to shoot scenes underwater. Many of the film's cast had to learn how to free dive and hold their breath underwater to be able to perform their necessary scenes.## The new footage of "Avatar 2" was shown at the D23 Expo and hailed as a pure visual treat, including the best showcase for the underwater work, in which several younger Na'vi jump into a coral reef and swim around hundreds of vividly rendered aquatic wildlife.## 20th Century Studios produced the film, with Cameron and Jon Landau producing on a budget of about $250 million, according to Variety. Anaheim, September 11 - Marvel Studios has revealed the solid star cast of its upcoming superhero movie Thunderbolts at the D23 Expo. Apart from showing footage of various upcoming Marvel titles, Marvel-head Kevin Fiege revealed Marvel's anti-hero team for "Thunderbolts", which will conclude MCU's Phase 5. ## Wyatt Russell (John Walker/US Agent), Hannah John-Kamen (Ava/Ghost), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (Valentina Allegra de Fontaine) are all part of Thunderbolts, and so is Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova/Black Widow, and Olga Kurylenko's Taskmaster. ## Red Guardian, Yelena, and Taskmaster all hail from the recent "Black Widow" movie, while Ghost was last seen in "Ant-Man and The Wasp". US Agent was one of the main antagonists of "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier", which of course also starred the beloved character Bucky Barnes.## Similar to DC's "Suicide Squad", the Thunderbolts are a team of antiheroes and villains who will be tasked to work together and achieve a certain goal. There have been dozens of members in the Thunderbolts comics. Disney Sets Title And Release Year of The Prequal To The 'Lion King'

Washington, September 10 - Two years after the original announcement, Disney has confirmed Mufasa: The Lion King title of the prequel to the 2019 Lion King film at D23. The film will be directed by the acclaimed "Moonlight" director Barry Jenkins. ## According to Variety, the prequel tells the origin story of the iconic Disney father, exploring his childhood growing up with his brother Scar. The film will feature the voice of Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as younger versions of the characters, filling in for James Earl Jones as Mufasa in both the 1994 original and the 2019 CGI remake, and Jeremy Irons and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Scar.## In addition to announcing the title, exclusive preview footage of the film was also shown to the audience at the D23 expo. The footage began with Rafiki (John Kani) telling the story of Mufasa to young cubs, revealing that the lion was actually an orphaned cub who had to navigate the world alone until he rose to become the king of Pride Rock. ## As such, the film goes beyond the iconic Pride Lands to show him as a cub in a desert, where he is swept away by a flood and becomes an orphan. I don't feel seen".## "The Lion King" has been one of the most loved Disney films of all time, with both, the original and remake grossing over $2.6 billion at the global box office. Rowling has finally revealed why she missed the special reunion, and it was simply because it was not something she wanted to do. ## "I was asked to be on that and I decided I didn't want to do it", she told host Graham Norton during an appearance on his Virgin Radio UK show and clarifying she was not excluded from the reunion (according to Deadline). ## She added, "I thought it was about the films more than the book, quite rightly, that was what the anniversary was about. No one said don't [do it]... During an interview with comicbook, Bruckheimer said that they will be sending the script to Cage soon. ## "Let's hope we're working on the script right now. Hopefully [Cage] likes it, but it's really good. 'The Flash' Star Ezra Miller Issues Official Statement Following Recent Events
