Peddi Day 6 Box Office Collections: Ram Charan Film Becomes His Highest Solo Grosser With Over 260 Cr Worldwide
BY CHRISTA LINCY
Ram Charan is back on the big screen with Peddi, and if you have been following the box office lately, the numbers are telling an interesting story. While the collections look solid on their own, we have to look at the massive scale and budget this film carries. For many films, these would be celebration numbers, but for a Mega Power Star project, the performance feels a bit underwhelming so far. After a significant drop on Monday, the film is trying to find its steady ground during the weekdays. Despite the mixed reception regarding its pace, Peddi has already emerged as Ram Charan's highest-grossing film as a solo lead, which is a major milestone in his career. Talking about the Day 6 performance, Peddi earned a gross collection of ₹11.31 Cr across India. This is a drop compared to Monday's (Day 5) gross of ₹14.31 Cr. While a dip on Tuesday is common, the film is under pressure to maintain a stronger grip given its high production costs. Looking at the regional breakdown for Tuesday, the APTG region led with ₹8.25 Cr gross (down from ₹11.00 Cr on Day 5), while the Rest of India contributed ₹1.91 Cr (an increase from ₹1.75 Cr on Day 5). Karnataka brought in ₹0.85 Cr, Tamil Nadu ₹0.25 Cr, and Kerala ₹0.05 Cr. With these numbers, the total India gross collection for Peddi now stands at ₹213.23 Cr after its six-day run. These tracked figures, gathered from 1,857 shows, result in a combined gross of roughly ₹34.5 Lakhs from these major chains. On a much larger scale, the film continues to run on a massive footprint with 7,554 shows on Day 6 alone, bringing the total show count across India to 56,918 since its release. On the global front, the early estimates for overseas collections on Day 6 are around ₹1.00 Cr. This brings the total overseas gross to approximately ₹48.00 Cr. Combining the domestic and international numbers, the worldwide gross collection for Peddi is now reaching an early estimate of ₹261.23 Cr. It is a big number, but the trade is watching closely to see if it can maintain this momentum to reach the break-even mark. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Ticket sales on BookMyShow give us a good look at the audience's interest. On Tuesday, the film sold 126.56K tickets. This brings the total number of tickets booked via the platform to a staggering 30,15,190. While the film is currently ranked at number 18 in the list of highest first Tuesday collections for Tollywood, it still has a long way to go to catch up with the top performers in that category. Here is a look at the top 5 movies that hold the record for the highest first Tuesday Telugu net collections : Sankranthiki Vasthunam: 23.00 Cr RRR: 21.78 Cr Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu: 18.75 Cr Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo: 15.80 Cr Salaar: Cease Fire - Part 1: 13.70 Cr Looking at the trend, the film is heading towards a decent first week, but the real test will be the second weekend. Since it has already become Ram Charan's top solo grosser, surpassing his previous records, the focus is now on how much further it can push into the 300-crore club worldwide.
