While several actors have already put their views on this burning issue, the latest to join the debate is veteran actor Govinda. ## Speaking to Hindustan Times in his latest interview, Govinda opens up about his struggles in the industry and the movie mafia who dictate their terms about how the industry will function and more.## "Earlier whoever was talented, got work. Every film would get equal opportunities in theatres. But now, there are four or five people who dictate the whole business. They decide if they want to let films of those who aren’t close to them, release properly or not. Some of my good films also didn't get the right kind of release. But, things are changing now", Govinda said.## While nepotism is a well known aspect of the industry, there is another burning question which making noise is if star kids and industry insiders have easy access because of favoritism than people with no filmy connections? Govinda, who is the son of late actress Nirmala Devi and Arun Kumar Ahuja, says that it is not the case entirely in Bollywood.## Despite having the filmy background, Govinda recapitulate that he too had his share of struggle and wait for hours to meet filmmakers as the scenario had changed by the time he became an actor.## "There was a gap of 33 years between them (his parents) leaving the film industry and me becoming an actor at 21. So by the time I entered the industry, many new producers had come who didn't know much about my origination. I had to wait for hours to meet them. I understood why they'd talk or behave in a certain way but never let it come in between me and my art", he added.## Stay tuned...

Director R Balki puts his thoughts on nepotism in Bollywood

BY SACNILK

The Sushant Singh Rajput death has sparked a raging debate on nepotism amongst Bollywood fans and some of the industry people. There are a lot of people who think that because of nepotism, outsiders do not get more chances to showcase their talent and skills. ## However, the Padman director, R Balki has a completely different perspective who thinks that nepotism is everywhere which nobody can change. He said that nepotism could have its pros and cons but at the same time, it has produced the actors like Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor who he thinks are the best. ## In a recent interview with a leading daily, the director shared his thoughts on nepotism and gave his insights. "It's undeniable that this happens everywhere. Think about the Mahindras, Ambanis, Bajajs… Their father passed on the businesses to them. Does anyone say 'No I don't think Mukesh Ambani shouldn't run this business, someone else should?' In every strata of the society, it happens, even a driver or a vegetable seller passes on businesses to their children. So, it's a foolish argument".## "Remember we live in a free society. The question is do they (star kids) have an unfair or bigger advantage? Yes, there are pros and cons. But I'd ask one simple question - Find me a better actor than Alia (Bhatt) or Ranbir (Kapoor), and we'll argue. It's unfair on these few people who're probably some of the finest actors", he further said.## "Understand that audiences don't like actors without talent. Sometimes, they also want to see star kids on screen. That's only the first chance that you get, and then one needs to survive on their own. I agree it's far more difficult for an outsider to make an entry in films, but talent gets the opportunity", he concluded. ## The debate on nepotism has been going on for a long time which has now turned into a heated argument in the film industry as well as amongst the fans on social media. The continues hatred on social media has forced some of the star kids to quit the platforms while some have disabled their comment sections.## Stay tuned...

Never got the privilege to dump anyone, I always got dumped: Kangana Ranaut

BY SACNILK

The Queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut speaks on News18 Rising India Summit about Everything she is known for. So read here what she said there. ## Highlights of the Interview. ## Her Comment On New Generation Attitude ## The young generation is always complaining. This attitude is not okay. Desh ganda hai toh aap mehmaan hain kya? Saaf karo. Infrastructure accha hai toh wahan jaao, thappad padenge immigration ke toh pata chalega. ## Her Comment On Breakups ## Never got the privilege to dump anyone. I always got dumped. They come back but then I can't take them back because then I've moved on to another loser. ## Her Comment On Joining Politics ## Personally, I feel politics is a wonderful field. Politics is often misunderstood. But what I don’t like is the fashion sense of politicians. Don't mind entering politics if they don’t change my fashion sense. ## Her Comment On Nepotism ## Nepotism is Karan Johar’s way. He doesn’t believe in talent. He believes in dynasty and that's okay. As an outsider, I have my way. I will say my point and you can't shut me up. Similarly, we can't tell him how to function, it's what works for him. I didn’t think nepotism would become a national debate. For me, it was just an observation. I am not some activist. I would love to be. But for me, nepotism was an observation. It became a national debate because it was on everybody’s conscience. ## Her Comment On National Anthem Debate ## Why are you ashamed of your nation? When Americans stand up to the national anthem, they do it with hands to their heart. Why are we ashamed to do that? I stand for the national anthem and salute our soldiers but am still a cool youngster. ## Her Comment On PM Modi ## I am a big Modi fan. We need to have a good role model. Modi's victory was not just his victory. The fact that a chaiwala won is a victory of democracy. ## Her Comment On Swara Bhaskar’s Article ## We failed as a society when we bullied Swara Bhaskar for her article on Padmaavat. I personally didn't agree but somewhere deep down I was pleased. It was heartbreaking to see how she was treated for her piece. I'm sure Swara would not be affected by it. She'll come back in 6 months and write again. But millions of other women will get affected and be wary of voicing their opinion. ## Her Comment On Ban on Pakistani Artistes ## The artistic realm is different from the physical realm. Agreed. But we can't ignore the physical borders. During the Pakistan artist ban, people were emotional as people were losing their lives at the border. The common sentiment is “Humko kya Lena dena, hum toh artist hai”. No, you are Indians as well, and your soldiers are dying at the border, you can’t talk about that. ## Her Comment On Hrithik Affair, Love and Relationships ## My boyfriend asks me how do you know everything about my life. It's black magic. It's telepathic. My love is psycho, then it's fine. I'll find someone else. I am fine being called a witch. Why should something so unimportant be a mystery? I thought I should share it with people. I have had so many affairs that after every breakup, I feel like this is the end of my love life. Things change very fast. For me, love is not just physical, it’s spiritual and platonic. It’s an amazing experience you feel when every cell of your body is awakened, even if the person is not around. I’ve never got the opportunity to dump someone. They come back but then I can’t take them back because then I‘ve moved on to another loser. Never got the privilege to dump anyone. I always got dumped. ## Source: Interview was for Rising India Summit on News18. ## For more and latest news about Bollywood, Stay tuned to us. ## Thanks for Reading, Sacnilk!
