Mumbai, February 11 – One of India's most celebrated filmmakers, Rajkumar Hirani, has finally given fans a reason to rejoice. The director has confirmed that he is actively working on sequel ideas for both Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots, two of the most iconic and beloved franchises in Hindi cinema. He confirms that both projects are in the early stages of writing. Over the last few months, there have been rumours that Raju Hirani's next film will be the sequel to 3 Idiots after his Dadashaheb Phalke biopic was dropped due to some reasons. While the filmmaker didn't confirm his immediate next, in a recent interview, Hirani revealed that he has a couple of strong ideas for Munna Bhai 3 as well as a sequel to 3 Idiots. Mumbai, June 8 - Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi is on cloud nine with the mega success of his OTT project "Asur 2" which is getting rave reviews from critics and audiences. The actor will now move on to his theatrical projects, and one of them is the third installment of the courtroom comedy drama "Jolly LLB". ## Last year, it was revealed that Akshay Kumar along with Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla would be returning for Jolly LLB 3, and now, the "Munna Bhai" actor has confirmed that same in a recent interview while promoting "Asur 2". ## In an interview with TellyChakkar, Arshad said that the shoot of "Jolly LLB 3" will start early next year. The movie will see Akshay and Arshad against each other as reports suggest that it will be more of a conflict between the two protagonists who play the role of lawyers in the franchise. ## Arshad Warsi led the first "Jolly LLB" movie in 2013 before Akshay played the lead in "Jolly LLB 2" in 2017". The upcoming movie will be directed by Subhash Kapoor who also helmed the first two films in the franchise. ## Meanwhile, the actor has also confirmed the next Dhamaal movie Dhamaal 4 is in development and Paritosh Painter is writing the script for the same. For Munna Bhai 3, Arshad said that it is not happening anytime soon even though director Rajkumar Hirani, producer Vindo Chopra, and actor Sanjay Dutt along with himself want to do it. ## It is also known to everyone that director Rohit Shetty has Golmaal 5 in the pipeline and according to Arshad Warsi, the filmmaker can call the entire cast to assemble one day to shoot for the film. Mumbai, December 19 - Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's directorial debut Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. has completed 19 years since its release in 2003. Considered one of the greatest films of all time, the comedy-drama was headlined by Sanjay Dutt with Arshad Warsi playing the supporting role. ## Sanjay Dutt played the role of a lifetime as Murliprasad Sharma aka Munna Bhai, however, he was not the first choice for the role. During a recent interview, director Hirani revealed that it was Anil Kapoor who was his first choice before it was offered to Shah Rukh Khan, and then finally, Sanjay Dutt was picked for it. ## Hirani revealed that it was producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra who suggested him to approach Shah Rukh Khan to play the role of Murli Prasad Sharma. The filmmaker said that being a newcomer, he was not sure whether SRK would do a film with him as King Khan was already an established star in the industry. ## The filmmaker further said that he approached SRK and wished to narrate the story, but since the actor was busy with "Devdas", he asked him to leave the script behind. When SRK read the script he liked it and called Hirani the next day to meet him.## Shah Rukh Khan agreed to do the movie but then a problem arose. Rajkumar Hirani stated, "This was a time when he (SRK) had to fly to London for his neck surgery. Meanwhile, he already had many films lined up like Chalte Chalte (2003), Main Hoon Na (2004), Veer-Zaara (2004), etc, and informed me that he'll finish these pending films and only then he can begin work on my film". The producer didn't want to wait for 2-3 years as the songs were ready and other prep work was also completed so they move on from him and roped Sanjay Dutt for the role. ## Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani finally got a chance to work together for the first time in the upcoming comedy-drama film "Dunki".
