Friday Box Office Update: Drishyam 2 Continues To Lead, Bhediya Steady Hold, An Action Hero Takes A Dull Start
The Blockbuster Drishyam2 continues to lead at the ticket window despite being in the third week of its box office run as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 4.20cr net box office mark which is an excellent third Friday number. The film had shown a drop in the region of 3-5% compared to yesterday which is phenomenal. No doubt Drishyam2 will continue to lead at the box office for this weekend as well and it won't be a surprise if the film alone puts a higher total than the combined business of Bhediya and An Action Hero. ## The third Friday collections will take the entire collections of Drishyam2 to around 167.68 cr depending on the actual third Friday collections. The film should target 18-20cr third weekend which is pretty much possible looking at the hold and the advance for the weekend. There is no doubt that the film will cross the 200cr net mark at the box office but whether it can challenge the numbers of Brahmastra and The Kashmir Files is yet to be known and if the film gets near 20cr third weekend then it's possible to reach those numbers. ## Bhediya on the other hand showed a steady hold on the second Friday as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 2cr net box office mark which is a low number but when you look at it from the other way the hold is decent enough the audience did not like the content and in the second week most film crashes but Bhediya can still have a healthy little run at the box office. The second Friday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to around the 44cr mark. The film should target 8-10cr second-weekend collections which will help the film to cross the 60cr mark in the final run. ## The new release of this week An Action Hero starring Ayushmann Khurrana took a dull start at the box office which was expected from the trailer and songs as they gave a feeling of a b-grade film. Action films are the best bets for initials but you have to have face value for that initial pull Ayushmann Khurana doesn't have any initial pull and on top of that he is not an action hero. The film is heading to collect around 1.50cr net box office mark on the first day. ## Stay tuned.
