Farhan Akhtar Recalls Shooting Of 'Lakshya' In Ladakh On 'Mission Frontline'

Mumbai, Jan 19 (IANS) Film actor, director, and screenwriter Farhan Akhtar get nostalgic about his film 'Lakshya' on the show 'Mission Frontline'. Farhan interacts with Col Bheemaiah P.S. (Commanding officer, 3 Rashtriya Rifle Sena Medal Bar).## Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and Farhan Akhtar will be seen together on the show. Both will be spending a day with the Rashtriya Rifle soldiers and J&K Police's Special Operations Group in Srinagar.## Farhan will be undergoing vigorous weapon training including static firing, neutralizing terrorists in the jungle, along with a search and destroy drill with Rashtriya Rifles. While interacting with Col Bheemaiah P.S., Farhan gets nostalgic about his film 'Lakshya'.## He says: "2003 is when we shot 'Lakshya' so before that I spent a lot of time in Ladakh mainly but now when I am here, I really feel very nostalgic about it. The time that we spent because you became a family and I think of them dearly today and I miss them a lot".## Farhan on weapon handling and firing training said: "Every time you hold this weapon in your hand, it definitely does something to you. When you know the reason behind using this weapon and also in what situation, it fills you with a sense of responsibility".## Farhan also opens up on what amazed him during the rigorous drills and said, "From training with them, to be their buddy, to sharing stories, I've learned this one thing. It is difficult, to sum up the life of a soldier in words. I had to live a day in their life. It's a day that is going to become a part of my stories".## He also said: "I have had an exceptionally interesting experience and I'm really glad I got to do this. Rohit Shetty Set To Make OTT Debut With 'Mission Frontline'

Mumbai, Jan 15 (IANS) Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who has entertained audiences with his comedic movies and action thrillers, and also hosted 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi'. is all set to entertain viewers with his OTT debut.## Shetty will be seen in the show 'Mission Frontline', which peeps into the lives of armed forces posted on the borders. The show has earlier featured Rana Daggubatti and Sara Ali Khan.## He will step into the shoes of a Special Operations Group soldier and experience how the unit lives and trains in the difficult places they are posted at. The show has been shot at locations in and around Srinagar.## Kunal Kochhar, the show's director, said Rohit Shetty is synonymous with action, so no one else could be more qualified for the job than him. "Rohit Shetty's films reflect patriotism, courage, and vigor and there couldn't be a better fit than him for 'Mission Frontline'", Kochhar said.## Sharing his experience, he added: "It was an absolutely surreal experience to shoot in the picturesque terrains of Srinagar with the special unit and Rohit's presence added so much energy to it. He says working on the documentary, which highlights the life of jawans of the Border Security Force, has given him a perspective on what goes into guarding our frontiers.## "India's Border Security Force - or the country's first line of defense has no holidays, no breaks and no breathers. If it isn't for those brave-hearts always on their toes, our nation stands at risk. I feel grateful to have been able to meet them, live with them and train with them", Rana said.## "As a civilian and countryman, this experience gave me perspective on what goes into guarding our frontiers, 24/7. In the show, he will be seen performing several tasks, including physical training routines and running drills. Amid the rise of digital platforms in India, Discovery Plus, after stepping in India in March this year, has announced its foray into creating original content for its streaming service in the country with three new originals featuring the stars like Manoj Bajpayee, Rana Daggubati, Neeraj Pandey, and Randeep Hooda. ## The launch of the originals starting from December 9 has been planned.
