The movie is said to be based on Asghar Wajahat's acclaimed Punjabi play, "Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai". ## Apart from the aforementioned films, the man of the moment is in advance talks to headline Border 2, a sequel to his all-time blockbuster war movie "Border" (1997) which was set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and was an adaptation of real-life events that happened during the Battle of Longewala in 1971. ## Sunny Deol is also in talks to play the role of lord Hanuman in director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana which commenced filming in the first quarter of 2024. According to Pinkvilla, the actor will team with director duo Abbas-Mustan for a big-budget action thriller, set to go on floors in 2024. ## Other than all the films mentioned above, the "Indian" actor is discussing several other scripts too, which include a film with Mythri Productions, and then, there is Gadar 3, which is reportedly lined up for Independence Day 2025 weekend release, two years after the second instalment while the possibility of "Apne 2" is also on. ## The mega success of "Gadar 2" has turned to tide of Sunny, who once was one of the most successful Indian actors during the 90s and early 20s.
