Mumbai, November 12 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3, co-starring Arshad Warsi, has completed its successful box office run with over 170 crores worldwide. The movie emerged as a hit and is now set to drop digitally this week. As per the latest reports, the Subhash Kapoor's directorial will be available to stream online from November 14, after completing 8 weeks of theatrical run. But there is a big twist in the OTT release of the movie, which is expected to draw solid viewership. According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, Jolly LLB 3 is expected to stream on two platforms - JioHotstar and Netflix. Both platforms were reportedly mentioned in the opening slate of the movie. It is, however, not yet clear if the movie will stream on both platforms simultaneously or will arrive on one streaming platform first and on the other after a few weeks. This is one of the rare instances when a theatrical film releases on two platforms. Recently, John Abraham's thriller, Tehran, dropped on Zee5 on August 14, and two weeks later, it was also released on Netflix on August 28. Jolly LLB 3 might follow the same route. They were hoping for more to come, but their happiness has been cut short by a disappointing and questionable move by the makers. Despite the film continuing its very good run and showing remarkable stability across regions, the team has decided to drop it on the OTT platform much sooner than expected. At a time when almost every South Indian film is dropping on OTT after just four weeks of its theatrical release, Kantara Chapter 1 had the perfect chance to break the trend. The Rishab Shetty directorial was still performing excellently at the box office, showing no signs of slowing down even in its fourth weekend. With a strong hold and exceptional word of mouth, the film was well on its way to extending its glorious run and setting new benchmarks for long theatrical sustainability in the post-pandemic era. In its fourth weekend alone, the film grossed over 30 crores domestically, with nearly half of that coming from the Kannada version. These are solid numbers for a film that opened to massive numbers in its initial week, proving its continued dominance and audience connection. A longer exclusive theatrical run could have easily pushed the film's lifetime total significantly higher, adding many more crores to its already stellar tally. However, the makers have now officially confirmed the film's OTT release. Mumbai, April 25 - Amid the steady decline in the popularity of digital platforms and to challenge other platforms in India, Mukesh Ambani's JioCinema on April 25 announced a significant two-third reduction in prices for its premium services for Indian customers. ## According to Mint, JioCinema premium subscription will now be available for as low as Rs. 29 per month for a single device and Rs. 89 per month for four devices in India. Previously, the platform offered its premium service at ₹99/month or ₹999/annually for streaming on up to four devices simultaneously. ## The new monthly subscription plan of Jio Cinema is almost 10X lower than the second-lowest Amazon Prime Video and Sony Liv which offer the premium plan at Rs. 299/month. Netflix, which is already facing difficulties in making a big impact in India, has the costliest premium plan Rs. 649/month. ## The new JioCinema plan includes online and offline viewing, in 4K quality, for foreign movies, TV series and kids' programming on any device in five languages. Mumbai, February 9 - Pan India superstar Prabhas' action drama film Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has officially revealed its digital partner for the Hindi version. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, is already streaming on Netflix in the South Indian languages. ## Since the film's Netflix release in South Indian versions, there have been enquiries about the streaming date of the Hindi version. Hombale Films, on Friday (February 9), officially revealed that Salaar Hindi will be coming on Disney Plus Hotstar on February 16. ## Unlike South Indian versions, the Hindi version of Salaar will be streaming after 8 weeks of theatrical release, and this is one of the major reasons Netflix is not the OTT partner of the film for Hindi. The movie is expected to bring good viewership for Hotstar. ## Netflix was hoping for a break-out success with Salaar in South Indian languages but the response so far has been underwhelming with just 3.5 million views in two weeks.## Meanwhile, Salaar: Ceasefire" grossed approximately 618 crores at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2023.
