Director Finalized For Ranbir Kapoor-led 'Dhoom 4'

Mumbai, October 1 - In one of the biggest news, it was recently revealed that Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor would be headlining Yash Raj Films' 4th instalment of the hugely-anticipated action thriller Dhoom franchise, stepping into playing the anti-hero role which has been the USP of the franchise. ## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Krishna Acharya has been finalized to direct Dhoom 4. Vijay aka Victor has written the story and screenplay of the previous three films of the franchise and went on to direct Dhoom 3 (2013) which is also the highest-grossing film in the series.## It is said that Victor has also written the script for Dhoom 4 and is now also on board to helm this one, as per the Bollywood Hungama report. Yash Raj Films is yet to officially confirm the development. ## Ranbir will play the anti-hero and it is said that none of the original cast will return as Dhoom 4 is a reboot in the literal sense. In the previous three films, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan took on the negative roles, respectively, which has been a driving force of the Dhoom franchise.## The makers looking to cast two young actors to replace Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra who have been a part of all three Dhoom films as cop baddies. Mumbai, September 16 - It has been more than a decade since Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 3 was released and despite the official announcement of the next instalment many moons back, there hasn't been any progress towards the same. ## Over the last few months, the chatter around Dhoom 4 has been making rounds on social media and there is a buzz that YRF has sped up things regarding the same. It is said that Aditya Chopra is actively working alongside Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Sridhar Raghavan to bring the film sooner than later.## Meanwhile, a new rumour has emerged regarding the casting of the film while we still await the official words from the studio. According to the Deccan Herald, YRF has approached Tamil star Suriya to play the baddie in the fourth instalment of the blockbuster action thriller franchise. ## "Makers did approach the star for a role and the negotiations are ongoing but remain in the early stages. It's too soon to confirm anything as Suriya sir is currently tied up with other commitments and fans will hear an official announcement when any progress happens", says the report.## The first three Dhoom films were headlined by a Bollywood cast where John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan played the anti-hero roles, respectively. YRF Unveils First Look Poster And Release Date of Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar's 'The Great Indian Family'

Mumbai, August 14 - Yash Raj Films' long-awaited comedy-drama film "The Great Indian Family", starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar in the leading roles finally has a release date in theaters. ## Directed by "Thugs of Hindostan" fame Vijay Krishna Acharya, "The Great Indian Family" has been in production since 2021, but it was delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic as well as some other reasons.## Now, the movie has been confirmed to hit cinemas worldwide on September 22, 2023, two weeks after Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", and a week before Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". The release date was announced through a video featuring Vicky Kaushal.## In the video, Kaushal tells us what "family" means as he compares a family to a melodious classical Indian song. He then adds that it feels good to call a family nice but his family is full of snakes as the promo shows how the actor deals with his family in the movie.## With the release date announcement video, YRF also unveiled the first-look poster of the movie which features the entire primary cast, led by Kaushal and Manushi. Aamir Khan & Kareena Kapoor's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' Shoot Finally Wrapped

Mumbai, September 16, 2021: A long production journey for Aamir Khan starrer "Laal Singh Chaddha" finally comes to an end as the shoot of this "Forrest Gump" remake has been wrapped up. The movie, which went on floors on 31st October 2019, was delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## The comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name. Apart from Aamir Khan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor as the female lead and Naga Chaitanya in his Hindi debut. ## Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, and Viacom18 Studios, Laal Singh Chaddha has been filmed in more than 100 Indian locations since it begin production in 2019. It was also filmed in Turkey, for the recce of a new shoot before it resumed shoot in Mumbai, India in 2020. ## It is one of the most-awaited films, which was earlier supposed to release on Christmas 2020. But due to the pandemic, it has been postponed to Christmas 2021 in cinemas. Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, And Bhumi Pednekar In Shashank Khaitan's Next?

Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan was set to direct Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the comedy film, Mr. Lele. The makers even released a poster of the film with a title featuring Dhawan, however, the movie was shelved last year around this time after Varun Dhawan reportedly expressed his displeasure over the script. ## Now, Shashank Khaitan is reviving the project but not with Varun and Janhvi. According to a leading entertainment portal, Vicky Kaushal has been roped in to play the role which was supposed to be played by Dhawan. The film, which is no longer titled Mr. Lele, is said to have two leading actresses in Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. ## While the official announcement is due, the movie with a new title went on floors last week with Vicky and Kiara while Bhumi, who recently completed the social comedy "Badhai Do" with Rajkummar Rao, will join them soon. ## Khaitan's film will be Kaushal's first comedy movie and second film with Kiara Advani after the 2018 anthology "Lust Stories" with their segment being directed by Karan Johar.
