Hrithik Roshan To Star As Vedha In The Hindi Adaptation Of Tamil Movie 'Vikram Vedha'?

From the last couple of months, there have been speculations about Hrithik Roshan starring in the Hindi remake of 2017's Tamil movie, "Vikram Vedha". Since Hrithik is already in talks with filmmakers for multiple projects, it wasn't sure when will he begin this action thriller as he didn't give his nod back then. ## However, it is now reported that the actor has given his nod and locked this film as his next. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Hrithik will essay the role of a gangster 'Vedha' which was played by Vijay Sethupathi in the original Vikram Vedha while Saif Ali Khan is reportedly playing Vikram. The report also suggests that the director duo, Pushkar–Gayathri who helmed the original, will be returning to direct the Hindi remake too. ## While the title for the Hindi remake is yet to be locked, it has been said that the movie will go on floors this summer as pre-production work is going on at a rapid pace. "On the personal front, Hrithik is clearing his calendar and attending to brand and industry commitments. The actor has been swamped with a slew of meetings to knock off before he goes on sets of Vikram Vedha", a report in Pinkvilla said. ## Talking about the original Vikram Vedha, it was produced by S. Sashikanth under his banner Y NOT Studios. The movie starred R Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in prominant roles. The film tells the story of Vikram (Madhavan), a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha (Sethupathi), a gangster. After Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he tells Vikram three stories that change his perceptions of good and evil.## Meanwhile, Hrithik has two confirmed films as Krrish 4 and Fighter. While Krrish 4 is still a long way to go, his Fighter with director Siddharth Anand will go on floors late this year and will be releasing on 30 September 2022. YRF Postponed The Release Date Of Bunty Aur Babli 2 Due To Coronavirus Situation?

FWICE Issued A Non-Cooperative Notice Against Gauhar Khan For Flouting Quarantine Rules

After Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) filed a complaint against Gauhar Khan, the actress seems to have invited more trouble as the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), an umbrella body of over 32 film industry unions, on Tuesday issued a non-cooperative directive against Khan for allegedly flouting quarantine rules after testing positive for the coronavirus, the Scroll.in reported. ## According to the notice against Khan, FWICE has asked all Indian cinema associations linked to the federation to "distance themselves" from Gauhar for the next two months till a fresh directive was issued, permitting her to resume work in the industry.## In a press release on Tuesday, the Cine body "highly condemned" the actress's alleged actions, and said it was "indeed a serious offense". It said that the actor had not only breached the rules issued by the central and the state government but had also endangered the lives of the entire crew members who were working with her on the shoot.## "Such ignorance will not be tolerated by the FWICE and it thanks the BMC and Mumbai Police for the FIR lodged against Ms Gauahar Khan, actress Mumbai for her inhuman, disrespectful act towards the other crew members as well as the government", the union added.## "Any members if found cooperating with Ms Gauahar Khan shall also be liable for stringent disciplinary action by the FWICE", it added.## FWICE President BN Tiwari told The Indian Express (according to Scroll.in) that because of Khan's unprofessional, non-cooperative and irresponsible actions, the whole cast and crew from the project she was shooting for will have to be quarantined and work will be halted.## Stay tuned...

Known for his high-octane action films, the filmmaker said he has never thought of making content for OTT and asserted his films are only made for the big screen. ## "I do not work on OTT. I am not even looking at the platform. My focus has been the big screen and on what will appeal to people sitting in a closed environment, on people who make an effort to go to watch the film", he told IANS.## Mumbai Saga, which is directed by Sanjay Gupta, will be hitting theaters this Friday (March 19). The John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer delayed for almost a year due to the pandemic and just like the other films, the speculation of its direct-to-digital release had also started making noise. However, Sanjay was the one who always committed to Mumbai Saga's theatrical release which is happening now. ## For Gupta, shooting "Mumbai Saga" has been quite an adventure for him due to the pandemic as there was a lot of uncertainty out there. ## "This has been an experience unlike any in my entire career. There has been a lot of uncertainty. At one point of time, it was like a life-and-death situation as there were portions to be shot and the pandemic had peaked. We completed shooting the film right in the middle of the peak. We sat on the film for six months after that".## "But somebody had to come forward among the bigger films, so we decided to go ahead and release the film. The advantage that we have over the other biggies is that our budget is not that huge. It is a calculated risk. By coming to the theatres we may not make money, but we will not lose money", he said.## However, he adds that filmmakers like him are making an effort to ensure films get a good theatrical release and making sure that Mumbai Saga gets as many screens as it can.
