The cinematic landscape in India is currently dominated by one name, and that is Peter Parker. After a historic opening and quickly crossing the 100 Crore net mark, the buzz around Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reached a fever pitch. Fans are flocking to premium screens to witness the latest chapter in the wall-crawler journey, which is rumored to bring a more grounded and gritty tone to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the first major weekend continues, the advance booking numbers from national chains indicate that the momentum is only growing stronger. For Saturday, August 1st, the national chains including PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis have recorded phenomenal advance sales. As of Saturday morning, the movie has already sold approximately 5.17 lakh tickets for the day across these major chains. This massive volume has translated into a gross collection of 25.5 Crore from national chains alone. To break this down by chain: PVR is leading with a gross of 13.4 Crore from roughly 3,470 shows, showing a high occupancy of 38 percent. INOX follows with 7.6 Crore from 2,720 shows at 28 percent occupancy, while Cinepolis has added 4.5 Crore from 1,640 shows.
