Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome 3' Eyes A Major Box Office Clash

Mumbai, January 9 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is gearing up for another busy year with multiple films of his lined up for release in 2025. The actor is working on some of the most-anticipated Bollywood films and one of them is the third instalment of the iconic comedy entertainer franchise Welcome. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, Welcome To The Jungle has been in production since last year and as per the latest update, 75% of the total shoot has been completed and the remaining portions are expected to be wrapped by June this year. According to the report by Pinkvilla, Welcome 3 is heading for a Christmas 2025 release. ## The report states that the team has locked a nearly 2-hour edit of the entire footage shot to date and the stakeholders are extremely happy with everything that they have seen on the edit table so far. The film involves heavy VFX and the same is happening at a brisk pace for the already shot portions. ## The Christmas 2025 release of Welcome 3 will put it in an intense clash at the box office as Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh is already slated for a December 25 release. Additionally, there is James Cameron's Avatar 3 on December 19 and it is likely to make a massive dent in domestic releases. ## Apart from the aforementioned films, superstar Yash's Toxic is also eyeing a December 2025 release, though the exact date is not locked yet. Furthermore, there is Maddock Films' supernatural comedy Shakti Shalini, starring Kiara Advani on December 31. ## However, one can expect a shift in the release dates of the aforementioned films as it is not a wise move to bring these many films during a single holiday frame from a business point of view. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Heads For Below 200 Crores Finish At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, May 12 - Superstar Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has completed 3 weeks with an underwhelming box office collection. ## Though the movie still has performed way better than most of the Bollywood films post the covid-19 pandemic those numbers don't justify the stardom of Salman. At the end of the 3rd week, KKBKKJ grossed around 183 crores worldwide, including 130+ crores domestically and over 52 crores overseas.## The film, directed by Farhad Samji, at once looked like a sure shot 200+ crores worldwide grosser but after the Eid opening weekend, it tanked badly and couldn't rise after that. The movie is likely to gross another 1 crore more to around 184 crores finish which is below average number for a Salman Khan film.## Irrespective of where the film finishes at the box office from hereon, KKBKKJ is already the 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year, after "Pathaan" and "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar". Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Crosses 100 Crores Net

Mumbai, May 1 - Superstar Salman Khan-fronted family action drama film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaaan has crossed the 100 crores net collection. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ should have entered the 100 crore club in the opening week itself, but due to the poor reviews and mixed word of mouth, the movie couldn't get going after the Eid holiday period. ## The film crossed the 100 crores mark on its 10th day, after scoring approx. 4.35 crores net on its second Sunday. It has become the 3rd Bollywood movie of 2023 to reach this box office milestone after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" and Ranbir Kapoor's "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar". ## "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan", produced by Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios, is the 106th Bollywood movie of all time and the 16th of Salman Khan to enter the 100 crores club. Salman Khan has now the highest number of films in the coveted box office club, surpassing Akshay Kumar who has 15 films in the 100 crores club. ## Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, KKBKKJ has reached approx. 164 crores gross, including approx. 45 crores overseas box office collection. Box Office: Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Gets The First Taste of Negative Reviews

Mumbai, April 26 - After enjoying festive first few days, Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has got the first taste of negative critics reviews and audiences' word of mouth in its box office collection after it dropped by 40% on the first Tuesday, one of the biggest first Tuesday drops for an A-list star post the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was probably the least hyped Salman Khan film in many years, plus, the pre-Eid release ensured it takes an underwhelming opening of around 13.50 crores net. Not many films scored much after the low start, especially with the negative reviews but it has proved that such things don't apply to Salman and his stardom. ## After an underwhelming start, KKBKKJ jumped by nearly 90% on its second day, Eid for around 25.75 crores net, followed by another jump on Sunday for around 26.60 crores. It managed to score a decent to good opening weekend of around 67 crores, purely because of the huge pull of Salman. ## There was fear that the movie would tank on Monday, however, being a partial holiday in some places, KKBKKJ did well by holding strong for around 10.20 crores net, but the negative reviews were going to hunt it at some point and this happened on the next day, i.e. Tuesday on which it scored just around 6.10 crores, a harsh 39.82% drop from Monday. ## The total net collection of the film after 5 days is 82.15 crores, and one would feel that such box office numbers with poor reviews in the post-pandemic times could become possible only because of Salman Khan's stardom. In current times, when superstardom is becoming irrelevant, KKBKKJ was a litmus test for Salman to show his star power, and he managed to prove it to some extent. ## However, despite all odds, KKBKKJ was destined to cross 100 crores net, a landmark box office figure most of the films have failed to achieve in the post-covid-era.
