Akshay Kumar Set To Return As Raju In Hera Pheri 3?

Mumbai, December 5 - One of the most loved Bollywood film franchises, Hera Pheri is returning with its 3rd installment, 16 years after the "Hera Pheri 2". A lot has happened over the last few weeks regarding the casting of the movie, however, things are looking to back on track. ## Akshay Kumar, who has been one of the three most important parts of the franchise as he played the iconic character of Raju in the first two films, recently revealed that he wouldn't be part of the 3rd Hera Pheri movie due to some issues with the script. The news of Akshay's exit disappointed his fans and neutral cinema audiences that they started a campaign, #NoAkshayNoHeraPheri on Twitter. ## Akshay Kumar also revealed that he was also disappointed that things didn't work out, but now, according to Pinkvilla, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has reinitiated conversion with Akshay to short out issues and bring him back to play Raju in Hera Pheri 3. ## It is said that Firoz, on public demand, has started conversations again with Khiladi Kumar as he realizes how iconic the character is and also acknowledges that the credit to make the character scale new heights goes to the way in which Akshay enacted the part. Mumbai, December 5 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar announced that he is making a film on sex education and that he will release it in April or May 2023. The superstar recently jetted off to attend the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he interacted with the media and talked about the movie. ## "I'm making a movie on sex education. It's a very important subject. In a lot of places, it is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school but sex is one education I'd like all the schools in the world to have because it is important", Akshay said, according to Deadline.## Akshay further said that even though these types of movies are not commercially huge, he likes doing such films on social issues as they give him satisfaction. In the past, he has made social films like "PadMan" and "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha", and both were successful. ## "It's going to take time to release. April or May I will be releasing that movie. It's one of the best films I have made. I like doing these kinds of movies, and social stuff. Mumbai, 4th Dec 2022: Drishyam 2 continues its dream run at the box office as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 10.20cr net box office mark which is an outstanding number for a third Sunday. The growth from yesterday is around 20-25% which is huge as yesterday the film witnessed a nearly 90% jump in the collection and to go higher on the next day is simply superb. ## The third Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections of Drishayam2 to a huge 186.58cr net box office mark. The third-weekend collection of Drishyam2 is over 23cr net box office mark which will put it among the highest 3rd-weekend films of all time. The film has emerged as a blockbuster and now the question is whether the film can emerge as the highest-grossing film of the year or not. Drishayam2 needs to cross the 250cr net box office mark to become the highest-grossing film of the year which is pretty much possible seeing the extraordinary trend of the film. ## Bhediya which looked like a big underperformed after the first week has surprised on the weekdays with better holds and eventually saw some decent growth over the weekend. Saturday Box Office Update: Drishyam2 Massive Growth, Bhediya Good Growth, An Action Hero Decent Growth.

Drishyam2 is heading for another huge day at the box office as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 8cr net box office mark which will mean a near 85-90% jump from yesterday. This type of growth was not seen before at least in an organic way. The growth is universal with Mumbai and Gujarat leading the way by huge margins. ## Drishyam2 is now a certified blockbuster film and the third Saturday will take the entire box office collections to over 175cr net box office mark. The lifetime total is set to be between 215cr to 225cr and even a higher total cannot be ruled out the way the film is performing at the box office. The film is set for further growth tomorrow and it should collect in double digits. The third weekend collections are likely to be around the 20-22cr net box office mark which will put it among the highest third-weekend collections of all time. ## Bhediya on the other hand also seen good growth at the box office as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 3cr net box office mark which is around 50% more compared to yesterday. The second Saturday collections will take the entire box office collections of the film to over the 47cr net box office mark. If the film shows another growth on Sunday which it should then the film might collect a 65-70cr net box office mark in the final run. The film will be a below-average performer at the box office. ## An Action Hero which had a low opening day collection has also seen growth but the growth is not big enough and when the starting point is so low then this kind of average growth won't help the film. The early estimate collections are set to be around the 1.70cr net box office mark which is again a low number but the positive is the trajectory and the hope is that the film gets a much-needed big growth on Sunday. Friday Box Office Update: Drishyam 2 Continues To Lead, Bhediya Steady Hold, An Action Hero Takes A Dull Start

The Blockbuster Drishyam2 continues to lead at the ticket window despite being in the third week of its box office run as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 4.20cr net box office mark which is an excellent third Friday number. The film had shown a drop in the region of 3-5% compared to yesterday which is phenomenal. No doubt Drishyam2 will continue to lead at the box office for this weekend as well and it won't be a surprise if the film alone puts a higher total than the combined business of Bhediya and An Action Hero. ## The third Friday collections will take the entire collections of Drishyam2 to around 167.68 cr depending on the actual third Friday collections. The film should target 18-20cr third weekend which is pretty much possible looking at the hold and the advance for the weekend. There is no doubt that the film will cross the 200cr net mark at the box office but whether it can challenge the numbers of Brahmastra and The Kashmir Files is yet to be known and if the film gets near 20cr third weekend then it's possible to reach those numbers. ## Bhediya on the other hand showed a steady hold on the second Friday as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 2cr net box office mark which is a low number but when you look at it from the other way the hold is decent enough the audience did not like the content and in the second week most film crashes but Bhediya can still have a healthy little run at the box office. The second Friday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to around the 44cr mark. The film should target 8-10cr second-weekend collections which will help the film to cross the 60cr mark in the final run. ## The new release of this week An Action Hero starring Ayushmann Khurrana took a dull start at the box office which was expected from the trailer and songs as they gave a feeling of a b-grade film. Action films are the best bets for initials but you have to have face value for that initial pull Ayushmann Khurana doesn't have any initial pull and on top of that he is not an action hero. Mumbai, December 1 - Drishayam 2 has emerged as a huge box office winner and the film is showing no sign of stopping as the early estimate collections suggest approx. 4.30 crores net on the second Thursday which is just around 5% less than yesterday. It is an extraordinary hold as the film has already collected more than 160cr at the box office despite that the drops are so less.## The second Thursday box office collections of Drishyam2 will take its entire collection to around the 163.50cr mark depending on the actual second Thursday collections. The film has shown a tremendous hold over the weekdays not just this week but also in the first week. Mumbai, November 28 - Bhediya underperformed in the first weekend and has a decent hold on the first crucial Monday of its box office run as the early estimate collections suggest 4 crores net. The hold could have been good if the collections were in the range of 6 to 6.50cr net box office mark.## The first Monday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to a little over the 32.50cr net box office mark. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Races Past 200 Crore Gross Worldwide

Mumbai, November 28 - Ajay Devgn-fronted suspense thriller Drishyam 2 has breathed a new life into the ailing Bollywood film industry and emerged as a huge blockbuster. ## The Abhishek Pathak-directed movie has raced past the 200 crores gross at the worldwide box office in just 10 days, becoming only the 5th Bollywood movie of 2022 and 6th after the covid-19 pandemic to achieve the feat. The sequel is on track to finish over 300 crores in its lifetime run.## Produced by Panorama Studios, Viacom18, and T-Series, "Drishyam 2" is a remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam blockbuster of the same name and a sequel to Ajay's 2015 movie, which itself was a huge hit. The movie opened to super positive reviews from critics and audiences alike which led to the foundation of a strong first week of over 104 crores net.## "Drishyam 2" remained equally strong in its second weekend despite the arrival of "Bhediya". In 10 days, the movie has managed to gross around 170 crores at the domestic box office while overseas, it has collected approx. 33 crores, helping the total worldwide to reach around 203 crores. ## Ajay Devgn plays the titular role of Vijay Salgaunkar, who along with his family copes with the reopening of a murder case that refuses to stop haunting them. Box Office: Bhediya First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 27 - Varun Dhawan starrer "Bhediya" opened to an average response on day one though the film had a good growth of nearly 30% on the second day and the expectations were that the film will have a big day on Sunday which just not happened. The creature comedy is witnessing a jump of around 15% on Sunday.## The early estimate collections suggest around 11 crores net. The first Sunday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to a little over the 28cr net box office mark and the film will struggle to collect well after the first weekend due to mixed reactions. ## There is no doubt the film has been affected by the Drishyam2 wave as that film remains the number one choice for moviegoers even outside Mumbai, Gujarat, and Maharashtra belts where Bhediya appeals more than Drishyam2. The film should hold well on Monday and then on subsequent days otherwise it will be another nonperformer for the Hindi film industry.## The box office is now in a healthy position compared to the last 6-8 months but the content has to be appealing to the audience otherwise many films will keep biting the dust. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 27 - Drishyam 2 is in no mood to slow down at the box office as the film continues its upward trend. It has seen good growth today as the early estimate collections suggest a 16.50-17 crores net collection which will be more than the opening day collections of many huge films released in the last 6 to 8 months. ## The huge second Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections to approx 143.50cr net mark. There was a chance of hitting 150cr till the second weekend but a big competitor like Bhediya arrived which took away some of the well-collecting screens of Drishaym 2 although in the longer run Drishyam 2 is likely to get all those lost audiences.## The hold on the second Monday will be going to be very important for the film as far as the lifetime collections are concerned. The film is sure to beat the collections of Bhool Bhulaiya2 which was around 182cr approx. Whether the film will join the prestigious 200cr mark or not will depend on the second Monday.
