Top 5 Greatest Roman Reigns Rivals In WWE

The WWE has seen many superstars over the times that have made their space amongst the big bunch of professional wrestlers around and Roman Reigns is certainly one of them. ## Entering into the WWE arena a few years back, he has become one of the most followed and cherished superstars in the sports entertainment history by now. Roman Reigns made his debut in the WWE main roster with “The SHIELD” which was comprised of names like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. ## Shield eventually got differences between them and they broke after certain feuds between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in one of the tag team matches. This was the time when Roam started off as a solo performer in WWE and brought himself off for the WWE championship contention. ## Over the years, since making his WWE debut, Roman Reigns has lighting faced every top superstar in WWE and now the fact is, he is one of the superstars in WWE. From 2014 onwards, WWE attempted to establish Reigns as their next "face of the company", positioning him as a heroic character, which was met with intense disapproval by audiences and critics. ## However, following his return in August 2020, Reigns was repackaged as a new villainous character, "The Tribal Chief", which has generally been met with acclaim by fans and critics alike. His revamped persona was named Best Gimmick by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in 2021. ## It’s fair to say Reigns has had some pretty intense rivalries over the years. If WWE were to produce a list of Reigns’ greatest rivals, the number one spot would likely be filled with Brock Lesnar. Since 2015, the pair have battled numerous times, being only the third pairing to ever have a trilogy of WrestleMania matches, but the first to have three separate Mania main events against one another. ## Other names like Daniel Bryan and John Cena have had multiple programs with Reigns, with some great matches too, but they were never long-term or extended stories. Braun Strowman sticks out as one of Reigns’ best opponents.
