Boxing Legend Mike Tyson To Face YouTube Star Jake Paul In Netflix Livestream

BY SACNILK

In a match-up that defies expectations, boxing icon Mike Tyson will step back into the ring to take on YouTube personality turned boxer Jake Paul this July on Netflix.## The exhibition bout, set for July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Texas, marks Netflix's foray into live sports broadcasting. This first-of-its-kind event follows a deal signed by Paul's company with the streaming giant last November.## Tyson, 58, last entered the ring in November 2020 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. – a full 15 years after his official retirement. More recently, he has dabbled in professional wrestling, most recently appearing for AEW in 2022. Despite this, Tyson has expressed a preference for working with WWE, even at a lower financial offer.## Meanwhile, Paul (27, 9-1) has carved a niche for himself in the boxing world. The former YouTube star has garnered fame by defeating past-their-prime MMA fighters seeking a lucrative payday, including Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, and Tyron Woodley.## Details surrounding the Tyson-Paul bout remain murky. It's unclear whether the fight will be a sanctioned professional event or an exhibition, and the number of rounds, glove size, and fighter payouts haven't been disclosed. ## This spectacle precedes WWE's own live streaming venture, scheduled to launch in January with Raw in the US and all WWE content internationally. ## It’s JAKE PAUL vs. MIKE TYSON — yes, really! — in a LIVE BOXING event at AT&T Stadium you won’t want to miss.
