Mumbai, Jan 20 (IANS) Popular television actor Shaheer Sheikh's father passed away on Wednesday after battling a severe Covid infection.## Shaheer had informed that his father was on a ventilator due to the infection. Actor Aly Goni shared his condolences on Twitter on Wednesday night and asked Shaheer to stay strong.## Aly wrote: "Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. May Allah rest uncle's soul in peace bhai @Shaheer_S, stay strong bhai".## Just a few days back, Shaheer had shared a throwback picture of his father and urged everyone to pray for him. The 40-year old actor, who always looked fit and fine, died of a heart attack on September 2, Thursday. ## Sidharth was at the peak of his career from the last couple of years. The "Broken But Beautiful 3" actor's sudden death has not only left his family in tears but also shaken the television actors, who didn't even know the late actor personally. They are saying that it's been a wake-up call for them as they confront the ghost of life's unpredictability. ## Actor Sharad Malhotra, who played the lead in the show "Naagin 5" said to IANS, "I was at work at that time and there was a message that had come on my friends' WhatsApp group about his death. For a minute, I could not understand what had happened. The first thing that came to my mind was that it must have been a rumor, but then my phone started ringing constantly and the news turned out to be true. Sidharth's passing has left me, like most of us, numb and shocked, although I did not know him personally". ## Returning from Sidharth's funeral on Friday, Aly Goni said, "I can't still believe that such a happy and hearty person is no more among us. He was so full of life. I have known him socially and he always came across as a warm person. I can't even imagine the pain his family and Shehnaaz are going through". ## Ronit Roy, too, did not know Sidharth that well, but the actor's death did not leave him unaffected. "I am really heartbroken. He had a great career ahead of him. The unconditional love that his fans showered upon him in the last few years was truly phenomenal. He was in a great position to build on the goodwill he enjoyed and it would have been so lovely to see him scale greater heights". ## Sidharth Shukla was last seen in Ekta Kapoor's web show, "Broken But Beautiful 3", in which he played the lead role of Agastya Rao. Mumbai, June 5, 2021: Television actor Pearl V Puri has been arrested in an old case that was filed at Waliv police station in 2019 in the Mira Bhayander Commissionerate. MBVC Commissioner Sadanand Datte informed that the actor was arrested on Friday (June 4) evening in a sexual assault case of a minor. But the action was taken after the DCP vetted the case and evidence was collected.## Meanwhile, producer Ekta Kapoor has lent her support to the Naagin actor. Taking to Instagram, Ekta wrote a cryptic note directed to the parents of the girl for the "frivolously" using the 'Me Too' movement to "fulfill their own agendas".## "Will I support a child molester…or a molester of any kind? How can people who are upset with each other, drag a third person into their own fight? Using an extremely important movement like 'Me Too' frivolously, to get your own agendas met with and mentally torturing a child and making an innocent person guilty. I have no right to decide, the courts will decide who is right & wrong", she added. ## Ekta further added that she has all the messages and voice notes to prove that the false allegations have been put on Pearl. "My opinion only comes from what the girl's mother said to me last night & that is - Pearl is innocent… and it is very very sad if people are using various tactics to prove working mothers are unable to take care of their children because there are predators on the set". ## "I have all the voice notes and messages between the child's mother and me which clearly points to the false allegations being put on Pearl. The film industry is as safe or as unsafe as any other business.
