A New 'Alien' Film In The Works With 'Don't Breathe' Director Fede Álvarez

Mumbai, March 6 - The fans of one of the popular sci-fi horror film franchises, "Alien", have reasons to rejoice as a new film is under development in the series, which will be written and directed by "Don't Breathe" and 2013's remake of "Evil Dead" fame Fede Álvarez who is himself a big fan of the franchise. ## There have been four movies in the original "Alien" series along with two crossover films and two prequel movies. The last "Alien" movie was released in 2017 in the form of a prequel titled "Alien: Covenant". ## The new movie, meanwhile, is intended to be made for Hulu as part of the 20th Century's ambitions to make more than 10 movies a year for the Disney-operated streaming service, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The upcoming movie will be produced by Ridley Scott, who directed the original sci-fi horror movie released in 1979 and returned for two 21st century installments, under his Scott Free production banner. ## Alien and its many sequels and prequels focus on the horror of a ferocious race of alien beings called Xenomorphs, who implant eggs inside living bodies via "facehuggers" that violently burst out of chests when they reach a certain stage of maturity.## The new movie in the film series, however, will be different from the previous movies and will follow a premise that is different from the narrative of the three 'Alien' films. An 'Alien' series has also been in the works from Noah Hawley at FX, with Ridley Scott in talks to serve as the executive producer for the 2023 premiere.## Stay tuned...
