Los Angeles, Feb 26, 2022: The hugely hyped DC movie The Batman is set to explode at the box office next week. The advance booking of the film is doing exceedingly well and it is expected to go even higher as the release gets nearer. ## Seven days before the release "The Batman" has pre-sold $17M+ worth tickets which is an extraordinary turnout for the film. If we compare to the previous event films then The Batman has done only 23% of Spiderman: No Way Home but it has outperformed Eternals and black Widow by doing 180% and 173% respectively. Remember all these before seven days of the release. ## There are many predictions that are being made at the moment but it is safe to predict that The Batman will be looking for a $115-135M in the first weekend. ## 'The Batman' is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. Produced by DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and Dylan Clark Productions, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. Hyderabad, February 19 - The advance booking for Pawan Kalyan-starrer upcoming Telugu movie "Bheemla Nayak", scheduled to release on February 25th, has reportedly been put on hold in Telangana state over service charge by the online ticketing portals. ## According to a report by Great Andhra, the Telugu film industry has taken a strong stand against online ticketing portals for abnormal ticket prices. It is learnt that the film industry is not happy with Book My Show and other platforms for charging high service charges which are resulting in low footfalls in theaters. ## The report has suggested that exhibitors have been asked to sell the cinema tickets only at the booking counters in theatres till the issue is settled. This decision has been taken to avoid the huge burden of higher ticket prices on audiences and encourage them to visit theaters to watch movies. ## Confirming this, Sirish, the distributor for Pawan Kalyan-starrer "Bheemla Nayak" in the Nizam area, said (via Great Andhra) that "For some days, the sale of tickets would be done at the counters in the theatres". ## In the past few years, ticket prices have gone up abnormally due to the higher commission charge by Book My Show. This has resulted in a reduction in theatre footfall. So, the industry has felt it would be better to revert back to the old system of selling tickets at the booking counters in theatres. The film is hugely awaited due to its premise and the buzz is getting higher and higher with each passing day. ## After cinemas re-opened, the two most important films from the Bollywood industry were Akshay Kumar starrer 'Sooryavanshi' and Ranveer Singh starrer '83' to put good numbers and help to bring back the audience to the theaters. Spiderman: No Way Home also had the Biggest advance of this year by beating every other film by a huge margin. ## The advance which started this week took a flying start in every major territory of India. The numbers look even bigger as it is coming after the pandemic and that too for a Thursday release which is not normal for the trade and people. ## The Three Marvel Giants - Infinity War (2018), Avengers Endgame(2019), And Spiderman: No way home leads the Biggest advance on its opening day in India. The advance booking has ensured the movie to set the box office on fire on the first day.
