Mumbai, January 23 - The advance booking of Pathaan is continuing with strong momentum. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer has already scored the biggest pre-sales for a Bollywood movie post the covid-19 pandemic and now, it has scored the biggest advance sales ever for the opening weekend. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan's" advance booking for the 5-day opening weekend is around 47 crores gross (as of Jan. 23), which is the highest-ever for a Bollywood film. It has crossed Anand's own directorial "War" which had minted approx. 42 crores gross advance sales for the opening weekend in 2019. ## "Pathaan" is expected to create a run riot at the box office, at least, for the opening weekend. The opening day pre-sales for the movie are currently around 22 crores gross and it is expected to cross "War" opening day by tonight. The film is scheduled to release on 25th January 2023 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. ## Not many films for Bollywood have crossed 10 Cr advance booking gross but here, it already grossed before 5 days of release and Pathan is going to have one of best advance bookings for Bollywood and India. The ticket booking numbers are also crossed 3 Lac. It has taken around 33 hours to achieve these numbers. ## This YRF's Spy Universe movie has created the right buzz and as it is come back movie for Shah Rukh Khan, so there is general excitement among moviegoers. Chennai, January 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's much-awaited family entertainer Varisu will be up against Ajith Kumar's action entertainer Thunivu at the box office this Pongal. The highly anticipated films will indulge in the direct clash on January 11 and this clash is exciting the trade very much. ## The advance booking for both films has been opened and both the movies are having neck-to-neck competition at the moment though "Varisu" is having a little edge over "Thunivu" in the early numbers. Mumbai, December 20 - Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty gears up for his long-awaited comedy film Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh, slated to hit screens on December 23 during the Christmas weekend. The trailer and songs have received positive reviews from audiences and the makers are confident regarding the success of the movie. ## Rohit Shetty has been the epitome of box office hits over the years as he hasn't given a single flop in the past 10-12 years. As far as Shetty is concerned, he is confident that "Cirkus" will continue his winning run, but the response to the movie in advance booking has been slow, which isn't normal for his films. ## The advance booking of "Cirkus" was opened a couple of days but it hasn't picked up the way the makers had thought. The film so far has sold approx. 17,000 tickets for the opening day which might be worrisome news as far as the opening of the movie is concerned.## There are still three days left to release which are considered peak days for advance booking, especially Wednesday and Thursday. Mumbai, December 13 - James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water is all set to explode at the Indian box office on December 16. The science-fiction epic has been one of the most-anticipated Hollywood films of the year and it can clearly be seen in the pre-sales booking. ## The advance booking of "Avatar 2" was opened a month before the release date and it was going at a steady pace, however, over the last 24 hours, the booking has picked up and has gained upward momentum. The movie has sold over 3.5 lakh tickets in all versions for the opening day (Dec. 16), and nearly 30% of tickets have been booked in the last 24 hours. ## The movie will be released in multiple languages, but it is the original English version which is having a maximum number of tickets booked. The 3D, 2D, IMAX 3D, and 4DX 3D of English version has sold approx. 1.9 lakh tickets worth approx. 7.50 crores gross so far for the opening day.## The Hindi 3D version has been able to sell approx. 44K tickets worth approx. 1.40 crores gross. The overall advance booking collection of "Avatar 2" for the opening day is approx. 11 crores gross (till December 13 afternoon). Mumbai, November 29 - James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water is the next big thing as far as the worldwide box office is concerned. Coming 13 years after the first "Avatar" movie, released in 2009, "Avatar 2" is one of the most-anticipated films in India and the same can be seen in the advance sales. ## The advance booking of this sci-fi epic was opened nearly a week ago in India in premium formats in limited theaters. The full-fledged advance is yet to open, but the response to the limited opening is excellent despite the ticket prices being as high as 2000 per ticket in some locations. ## The English 3D format has so far sold approx. 1.06 lakh tickets in India, while the English IMAX 3D format has sold around 14K tickets, the 4DX 3D format has sold approx. 6K tickets and Hindi 3D has managed to sell around 18.5K tickets so far. Mumbai, November 17 - The much-awaited suspense thriller Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgn is all set to take a very healthy start at the box office. The advance booking of the movie has picked up massively over the last 24 hours and is only behind "Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva" in 2022.## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the movie sold over 200K (2 lakh) tickets for the opening day, which is the second highest for a Bollywood movie in 2022 after "Brahmastra". On National Cinema Day, more than 4000 screens have INR 75 ticket rates. ## Not only Brahmastra but other new releases are also selling a good amount of tickets. Chup has crossed 200K numbers for its first day. Together, Avatar re-release and Sita Ramam (Hindi) also crossed 100K numbers. ## With such a good response for Brahmastra, this movie is expected to break Baahubali 2 record for having the highest Hindi net collection for 3rd Friday of all time which is 10.05 cr as of now. Mumbai, September 5 - Director Ayan Mukerji's passion project Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is all set to take the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie in 2022 and has an outside chance to top "Sooryavanshi" to become the biggest Bollywood opener post-pandemic. ## The fantasy adventure film based on Ancient Indian Astras has become the biggest Bollywood film post-pandemic in advance booking sales for the opening day, 2 days ahead of the official release. So far, the movie has scored 10 crores in gross advance sales, outscoring Ranveer Singh's "83" (8.14 crores). ## The 3D format of the movie is leading the advance booking of the movie with 8.30 crores gross so far while the 2D format has so far generated 86 lakh for all languages. Meanwhile, the IMAX format has crossed 1 crore advance sales for the opening day. Mumbai, May 5 - Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was one of the first films to bring the Indian box office on its strong feet with big box office numbers in December last year. And now, another Marvel movie with Disney, "Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness" is ready to roar in India. ## Directed by Sam Raimi, "Doctor Strange 2" has been one of the most-awaited non-Indian movies and the advance booking for the same was opened nearly a month before its release on May 6 in multiple languages. As expected, the superhero movie is getting a phenomenal response in the advance sales as it has already reached 28 crores gross. ## The original English version of the movie is leading the advance sales with approx. 19.70 crores gross, including all formats, followed by the Hindi version with approx. 7 crores gross. The Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada versions have scored approx. 1.30 crore in advance sales. ## The advance booking of the "Doctor Strange" sequel is very much in line with "Spider-Man: No Way Home" which scored 22.50 crores gross in advances for the first day, mostly with 50% occupancy. While Tom Holland-fronted movie took the opening of 32.67 crores net or 41.50 crores gross for all languages in India, "Doctor Strange" might open with a lesser number. As of now, the movie is tracking to earn around 30-32 crores net or 40 crores gross (+/-), which will be a huge opening. ## In a long run, "Doctor Strange 2" might not reach the box office figures of "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which grossed 260+ crores in India.
