There is a big relief among the exhibitors and theater owners after the release date announcement of Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi. The next installment in Rohit Shetty's cop-drama, Sooryavanshi will be hitting worldwide theaters on April 30, after a delay of more than a year since it was originally announced. ## Without any second thought, Sooryavanshi is the most awaited film of 2021 along with Salman Khan's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. And the celebration can already be sensed as Akshay's fans are overjoyed with this most-awaited announcement, and the CEO of Reliance Entertainment Shibasish Sarkar not wrong when he says this film will be a celebration for Khiladi Kumar's fans. ## In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Shibasish Sarkar opened up about Akshay and praised him as a versatile actor. He has also pinned high hopes on Rohit Shetty's directorial. ## "For Sooryavanshi, I can promise that it will be a celebration for his fans, it will be a celebration for the audience. It is not like any other normal film. People will love to celebrate with the entry of Sooryavanshi now in this cop universe that much I can promise you with whatever we have seen. Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 is all set to release on the occasion of Christmas 2020, on the digital platform Amazon Prime Video. The remake of Govinda and Karishma Kapoor's blockbuster movie from 1995 of the same name is already creating a lot of buzz because of the songs of which, a few of the songs are recreated from the original movie. ## After Husnn Hai Suhaana, the latest song, Tujhe Mirchi Lagi, from the movie released today on Monday and is already trending on social media. While the original song is sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, the new version, filmed on Sara and Varun, has been reimagined by Lilo George and DJ Chetas. Director of the film, David Dhawan, hopes the songs will give extra mileage to the film.## "Songs from the original Coolie No. 1 are hugely popular and timeless. According to me, these tracks helped the film. I was always clear that if I ever made this film again, I would use these blockbuster songs".## "The songs from the original were created by music directors Anand-Milind and written by lyricist Sameer, who are close to me. We have done a lot of work together. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer upcoming cop drama film, Sooryavanshi is no longer a possibility for Diwali release. Despite the cinemas are allowed to reopen with 50% capacity, the Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibashish Sarkar had earlier said that the makers can't release such a big film with 15 days of promotion time. ## "Sooryavanshi' and '83' have been ready for quite some time. 'Sooryavanshi' was originally slated for a Diwali release, but it's not practical. Even if theatres open up in November, you can't release such a big film with 15 days of promotion time", Sarkar had told IANS. ## While Ranveer Singh starrer, "83" still may release on Christmas, the makers, as per a leading entertainment portal, are planning to bring "Sooryavanshi" on Republic day 2021 week. Shibashish Sarkar had also suggested that they will be aiming between January to March to release Rohit Shetty directorial. ## Sooryavanshi is an action film and it is the fourth installment of Rohit Shetty's Police Universe. Akshay Kumar playing DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. His character was announced towards the end of Simmba that served as a character introduction of Sooryavanshi. The film is written by Yunus Sajawal and co-produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, and Cape of Good Films.## Apart from Akshay and Katrina, the movie also stars Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Jackie Shroff, Nikitin Dheer, Javed Jaffrey in the key roles.
