Taking to social media, Sharma shared the chaotic and fun-filled glimpse into the sequel, confirming that the film will hit cinemas on December 12, 2025. The trailer promises a return to the slapstick, errors-of-comedy genre that made the first installment a massive hit, featuring Kapil in his signature element—juggling multiple relationships and avoiding getting caught. While the original 2015 hit was helmed by the legendary thriller duo Abbas-Mustan, the sequel marks a shift in leadership with Anukalp Goswami taking over the directorial baton. Kapil Sharma returns to lead the chaotic narrative, reprising a fresh variation of his signature "husband in trouble" trope, backed once again by producer Ratan Jain of Venus Worldwide Entertainment. To elevate the comic timing, the trailer introduces a new ensemble of leading ladies—Warina Hussain, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan—supported by the impeccable comic timing of Manjot Singh and veteran actors like Asrani, Vipin Sharma, and Akhilendra Mishra. Notably, Anukalp Goswami, who served as the writer for the first installment, now steers the ship as both writer and director, ensuring the franchise’s core DNA of confusion and chaos remains intact. The sequel arrives with the heavy burden of living up to a massive legacy, as the original film had set a high benchmark upon its release in 2015. Marking Kapil Sharma's Bollywood debut, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon defied all trade expectations under the direction of Abbas-Mustan. It registered a staggering opening day collection of ₹10.20 Crore—a record for a debutant actor at the time—and went on to amass a lifetime total of approximately ₹49.98 Crore (Net India). Declared a certified commercial Hit, the film was pivotal in establishing Kapil Sharma as a bankable star in the mainstream comedy genre. This movie marks the first collaboration between Kapil Sharma and director Anukalp Goswami. Unlike the first film, where the novelty was "Thriller specialist directors (Abbas-Mustan) making a comedy," the sequel is being steered by a team more rooted in the current comedy landscape. However, the core DNA of the franchise—confusion, multiple partners, and quick-witted one-liners—remains intact under the new direction. With a release date of December 12, 2025, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is perfectly timed to capitalize on the pre-holiday mood. Coming after his serious stint in Zwigato, fans are eager to see Kapil Sharma back in his goofy, high-energy avatar. If the trailer is anything to go by, audiences are in for a rollercoaster ride of errors.

'Ponniyin Selvan 2' and 'Agent' Open To Contrasting Responses

BY SACNILK

Chennai, April 28 - Maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam's much-awaited period action drama film Ponniyin Selvan - Part 2 has been released in theaters today, and as expected, the movie opened to super positive responses from critics and audiences alike. ## The film, starring an ensemble cast including Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala, among others in key roles, had early morning shows due to the huge curiosity among the fans and the early responses indicated that the movie has exceeded the expectations. ## Despite being called slow-paced, the critics and audiences are hailing the intense drama and superlative performances of the lead cast. Mani Ratnam has once again done very well with his excellent direction and given enough scope to each and every key character to show their skills. AR Rahman's music seems to be the cherry on the cake. ## Overall, "PS-II" has been able to deliver what the makers had promised, and just like "PS-I", it should also do well at the box office. ## Quite contrasting to "PS-2", the long-awaited Telugu movie Agent starring Akhil Akkineni and Mammootty opened to forgettable responses from critics who are calling it one of the poorest films of the actors and director Surender Reddy. The audience response is also not encouraging which has made it tough for the movie to survive. ## "Agent" has been in production for the last three years as it got delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic. Unlike the response to the movie, the teaser and trailer got a good response which generated decent hype for the movie but the final content couldn't justify the sort of pre-release expectations it had, as per audience response. ## It is not that all is bad for the movie as the performance of Akhil and Mammootty is getting praise, but again, other departments didn't stand out. As per critics' reviews, the movie is let down by the poor writing, direction, and mindless over-the-top action. ## Overall, "Agent" has failed to make the long wait worth it, and it will find tough to get going at the box office. The opening, however, should be decent considering the decent pre-release hype.## Stay tuned...

Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent' Scores High Pre-Release Worldwide Theatrical Business

BY SACNILK

Hyderabad, April 26 - Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni's long-awaited spy action thriller Agent is getting ready to hit the big screen this Friday, April 28. The Pan India movie is directed by Surender Reddy who last directed a movie was Chiranjeevi's "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy" in 2019. ## A few months back, "Agent" was one of the most-anticipated Telugu movies of the tier 2 heroes, but, the continued delay in the production hit the hype. However, the trailer and the unique promotional activities have brought the movie into the scene again and it is currently carrying a decent buzz among the moviegoers. ## Meanwhile, the makers have locked the worldwide theatrical business, and irrespective of the buzz around the movie, it has managed to close a high business for a non-superstar movie. According to T2BLive.com, the pre-release theatrical business of "Agent" is approx. 36.20 crores, which is the second highest ever for Akhil's movie. ## The makers have sold Telugu theatrical rights for around 29 crores while the rest of India's theatrical business is around 4 crores. The overseas rights are locked for around 3 crores. The break-even target of the movie will be 37 crores worldwide, which means it will need to score around 60 crores gross worldwide to emerge as a clean hit. ## Produced by AK Entertainment, and Surender 2 Cinema, "Agent" will need a unanimous positive response from audiences to achieve the break-even target as it has been seen that the movies with mixed responses have failed badly at the box office. The promotional content released so far has attracted a positive response from everyone which has ensured a decent to good opening.## The movie features Akhil as a rogue agent known to be ruthless and unpredictable. It also stars Malayalam superstar Mammootty in a prominent role along with Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and Dino Morea, among others. ## Stay tuned...
