Dhurandhar Leads 2026 Indian OTT Charts; Netflix Dominates Top 10 Most Watched Films List

The year 2026 has been a significant period for Indian cinema on streaming platforms, with several titles achieving massive viewership numbers both domestically and internationally. While theatrical runs remain the primary indicator of a films success, the digital transition has allowed movies to find a much larger, global audience. Netflix has emerged as the dominant player this year, hosting the majority of the top-performing titles, though platforms like Amazon Prime Video and JioHotstar have also secured major wins with their respective originals and digital premieres.

Leading the charts is Dhurandhar, which has set a massive benchmark with 31.1 million views on Netflix. The film has shown incredible staying power, maintaining its position at the top for several weeks. Following closely is Accused, starring Konkona Sen Sharma, which has amassed 16.6 million views. This film became a major success by reaching the number one spot in India immediately upon release and trending in 74 countries. Within just its first ten days, it had already secured 15.1 million views, outperforming the initial numbers of major blockbusters like Animal.

Another standout performer is the Tamil film Made In Korea, which proved that regional content is no longer restricted by language barriers. Released in March 2026, it reached 13.5 million views within its first three weeks. It held the top spot on Netflixs Global Top 10 Non-English list for two consecutive weeks, recording 4.1 million views in its first week and jumping to 6.7 million in the second. This global reach was further supported by its performance in India, where it climbed to the top trending spot within 24 hours of its digital arrival.

Courtroom dramas and female-led thrillers have also seen strong engagement this year. Haq, featuring Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi, garnered 11.3 million views globally within its first month. It debuted at number one in India and performed exceptionally well in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the UAE. Similarly, Rani Mukerjis Mardaani 3 recorded 10.7 million views in just ten days. The film trended in the top ten in 22 countries, highlighting the sustained interest in the franchise across international territories.

In terms of platform variety, Subedaar emerged as a record-breaker for Amazon Prime Video. Starring Anil Kapoor, the film achieved viewership across 91 percent of Indias pin codes, indicating a very deep reach in both urban and rural markets. On the other hand, Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab found a second life on JioHotstar after a polarized theatrical reception. Despite critical backlash, the horror-comedy garnered 10.3 million views, trending as the number one title in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada for several weeks.

The romantic drama genre also saw success with Tere Ishk Mein and De De Pyaar De 2. Dhanush and Kriti Sanons Tere Ishk Mein amassed 9.7 million views, becoming one of the biggest Bollywood debuts of 2026 on Netflix. Meanwhile, De De Pyaar De 2 reached 7.7 million views globally. It trended in 14 countries and spent three consecutive weeks in the global top ten, surpassing other major titles in terms of sustained weekly engagement. These numbers reflect a healthy and diverse streaming landscape where various genres are finding their dedicated audience bases.
