WWE WrestleMania 39: Edge Vs. Finn Balor Full Match Highlights

As the intense brawl between Edge and Finn rages on, both wrestlers exchange blows with fierce determination. Edge throws a punch, but Finn quickly retaliates with a powerful double thrust to his opponent's throat. The two wrestlers then take the fight under the ring, where they each grab a weapon - Finn seizes a kendo stick, while Edge picks up a chair.

Edge swings the chair at Finn, landing several punishing blows, but Finn manages to counter with the kendo stick, striking Edge with quick and forceful jabs. With the match now spiraling out of control, Finn delivers a crushing clothesline that sends Edge tumbling over the top rope and crashing to the floor below.

Not content with simply sending Edge out of the ring, Finn drags his rival's face along the steel cell, raking it mercilessly against the unforgiving surface. Finn then unleashes a barrage of kicks and boots, relentlessly pummeling Edge against the cell with a flurry of powerful strikes. Despite the intense pain, Edge refuses to give up, and the two wrestlers continue to battle on with everything they've got.

With the intensity of the match only increasing, Finn sends Edge hurtling into the cell with a brutal Irish whip. However, Edge quickly recovers and lands a powerful forearm that knocks Finn off the apron and into the steel structure. Determined to gain the upper hand, Edge rummages under the ring and retrieves a pair of kendo sticks.

Using his newfound weapons, Edge jabs Finn with a sharp strike before delivering a brutal blow with the kendo stick. Sending Finn hurtling back into the cell, Edge continues to rain down a barrage of punishing blows, trapping his opponent against the cold steel with a flurry of kendo sticks.

Seemingly undeterred, Edge then climbs to the top of the cell, launching himself off with a daring dropkick that sends Finn reeling. Taking the match to new heights, Edge then retrieves a table and carefully positions it in the corner of the cell, ready to unleash even more devastation on his opponent.

As the match intensifies, Edge delivers a swift kick to Finn before releasing him from the corner. Finn responds with a flurry of punches and palm strikes to the head, determined to keep the momentum in his favor. However, Edge quickly turns the tables, Irish whipping Finn into the unforgiving ring steps.

Not one to back down, Finn chops Edge with a series of stinging strikes before sending him back into the ring. Edge counters with a devastating Impaler DDT, but Finn quickly rebounds with a fierce sling blade. Balor then drop kicks Edge off the apron and into the steel cell, before following up with a running drop kick that sends Edge crashing through a table.

Not content with just one table, Finn throws a chair at Edge, then another, and proceeds to pummel him with yet another chair. However, Edge manages to recover, landing a well-placed kick on Balor before executing an Unprettier. As Finn struggles to regain his footing, Edge waits patiently, ready to capitalize on any opportunity that presents itself.

Balor counters with a kick and an inside cradle for a near fall, but Edge quickly responds with an Edge-O-Matic, coming within inches of victory. Seeking to deliver the final blow, Edge retrieves a ladder and hurls it at Finn's face, causing him to bleed profusely. Concerned for Finn's safety, the referee intervenes, pushing Edge away and checking on Finn's condition. With the match still hanging in the balance, it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in this brutal battle.

As the referee tends to the bleeding Balor, Edge seizes the opportunity to gain an advantage in the match. With a calculated look in his eyes, Edge reaches under the ring and pulls out a plethora of weapons, ready to unleash a world of pain on his opponent. With the crowd on the edge of their seats, it's clear that this match is far from over. As the tension in the arena continues to mount, it remains to be seen what other surprises Edge has in store for his adversary.

With the ladder now in place in the ring, Edge readies himself for another brutal assault. However, Balor is quick to re-enter the fray, determined to mount a comeback. Edge attempts a power bomb, but Balor deftly escapes and counters with a double leg take down and a devastating double stomp.

Balor follows up with an elevated elbow drop, the force of which leaves Edge reeling. Undeterred, Balor climbs to the top rope in preparation for his signature move, Coup de Grace. But as he leaps into the air, Edge moves out of the way at the last moment, causing Balor to crash to the mat.

Edge seizes the opportunity and charges forward with a spear, but Balor manages to leapfrog over him, causing Edge to collide with the ladder. Balor capitalizes with a near fall, but both men are left writhing on the mat after a series of brutal clotheslines. As the crowd watches with bated breath, it's clear that this match is far from over.

Just as Balor seems to be gaining the upper hand, Finn catches Edge off guard with a perfectly executed sling blade followed by a running drop kick. Balor climbs to the top rope once again and connects with a picture-perfect Coup de Grace, but Edge manages to kick out just in time.

With the match reaching its climax, Edge climbs the ladder in a desperate bid to end things once and for all. However, Balor is in hot pursuit, determined to put a stop to Edge's reign of terror. Just as Balor reaches the top of the ladder, Edge strikes with a vicious blow from the kendo stick, sending Balor crashing to the mat below.

Seizing the opportunity, Edge ascends to the top of the ladder and executes a devastating Edgecution off the ladder, leaving Balor reeling and on the brink of defeat. With the crowd on the edge of their seats, it remains to be seen whether Balor can muster the strength to fight back and emerge victorious in this epic battle.

Edge acquires additional chairs and a sturdy table. He diligently arranges the table, ensuring it is stable and ready for use. Suddenly, Balor ambushes Edge with a swift strike from his kendo stick, causing Edge to collapse onto the table. Balor ruthlessly pummels Edge with multiple blows from his steel chair. With his opponent weakened, Balor ascends to the top of the Cell, preparing to execute his devastating Coup de Grace maneuver. However, he suddenly alters his strategy and decides to scale the Cell's platform instead. In a moment of miscalculation, Balor misses his target and crashes through the prepared table below.

Seizing the opportunity, Edge rapidly closes in on Balor and lands a powerful spear, narrowly missing the three-count for victory. In a furious retaliation, Edge unleashes a barrage of strikes using the kendo stick. He then proceeds to grab the ladder, signaling his intentions to claim the prize at the top of the Cell.

Edge reminisces about his past experiences with chairs, drawing inspiration for his next move. He meticulously positions the chairs, preparing for his signature One Man Conchairto. With precision and accuracy, Edge executes the maneuver, striking Balor with brutal force. With Balor writhing in pain on the mat, Edge seizes the opportunity to claim victory. He deftly maneuvers Balor onto his back, readying him for the pinfall. The referee counts to three, signaling Edge's triumph over his opponent.

The Rock's Absence Causes WWE To Alter WrestleMania 39's Championship Lineup And Introduce New Title Belt

BY SACNILK

Several months ago, WrestlingNews.co first reported plans for two colossal championship matches at the forthcoming WWE WrestleMania 39. According to the report, the intention was to divide the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship eventually. ## At the previous WrestleMania 38, the Universal Champion Roman Reigns conquered WWE Champion Brock Lesnar to merge the titles. ## WrestlingNews.co's report highlighted that the initial blueprint for the first night of WrestleMania 39 was for either Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre to confront Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship, while Reigns would take on The Rock. However, WWE had to revise their plans as soon as they found out that The Rock would not partake in the match. ## This Monday, Triple H announced that a new World Heavyweight Champion would be crowned on May 27 at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Although unconfirmed, based on the hints dropped on Raw, it appears that Rollins is the leading contender to become the inaugural champion. ## According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the inception of the decision to introduce a second top title belt dates back to WrestleMania 38. ## Meltzer wrote, “The idea of bringing back the second title dates back literally to when the titles were unified at the April 3, 2022, WrestleMania show in Dallas when Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar. We had been told before the match that the company felt it needed two titles, but also based on the Mania stipulation, it had to wait a certain length of time before creating the second one.” ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's WrestleMania 39 Match With Top WWE Star Derailed By TV Show Schedule

BY SACNILK

Despite the favorable reception of WWE WrestleMania 39 by numerous fans, a contingent of enthusiasts lamented the conspicuous absence of the legendary 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin from the event, particularly in the wake of his comeback to the ring at WWE WrestleMania 38. ## In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, the 'Texas Rattlesnake' disclosed that a definite proposition was in place for him to engage in a highly anticipated bout at WrestleMania 39 with one of the company's top-tier performers. However, the production schedule for his television program ultimately thwarted this potential clash of titans. ## "People have asked me, 'Why didn't do you do 'Mania?' They asked me, but I didn't know what my life was going to look like until I was done with this show. I finished up on the show four days before WrestleMania. I drove every single mile in an RV and I brought dumbbells with me, a sandbag and a kettle bell, so I got my workouts in. ## The concrete idea was a match. It was a match with one of the top guys in the business, period. I'll let everybody speculate about that, but yeah, it was a match and I just didn't think I could get ready for it in time because I didn't know my schedule, which is what I told them. 'I don't know what my life looks like until I finish this show.'" ## Special thanks to Bleacher Report & Graham Matthews for the quote(s). ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Road Dogg Defends WWE's Decision For Roman Reigns To Retain Against Cody Rhodes At WrestleMania 39

BY SACNILK

According to Brian James, aka Road Dogg, who is currently a WWE Executive and also a Hall of Famer, the decision for Roman Reigns to retain the WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 was a strategic one for the company. James stated in a recent episode of his podcast 'Oh...You Didn't Know?' that a victory for Rhodes would not have been a smart business move. ## James explained that the storyline leading up to the match was focused on Rhodes' desire to fulfill his father Dusty Rhodes' legacy and claim the top prize in WWE. However, he believes that the outcome of the match was not the end of Rhodes' title chase, but rather the closing of a chapter in his story. James implied that Rhodes may have more opportunities in the future to pursue the championship, and a victory at WrestleMania 39 may not have allowed for further storylines to develop. ## James also mentioned that from a business standpoint, keeping the title on Reigns, who was portrayed as a dominant and top heel (villainous character) at the time, was a strategic decision to maintain his momentum and elevate his status as a top champion in the company. He added that sometimes, in the wrestling business, unexpected outcomes and decisions are made to create drama, suspense, and future opportunities for storytelling. ## “The argument is a legitimate one to go back now that history has told that story and go, ‘Okay. Should he have got it then? Should he won it then?’ Like, man, I don’t think that’s smart business. I think that’s great booking if you’re a fan, but I don’t think it’s smart business. If you tell the story and go, ‘The end,’ close the book. Then, ‘Okay, now we got to start over,’ I just feel like this was just a chapter closing. ## He came in, and this has been said by some people that speak about wrestling that kinda know what they’re talking about, he came in, and he had no adversity. He went right through the Rumble, right through everybody, and right to the champion. So the argument could be made, ‘Man if you just give it to him now, did he earn it?’ ## Yes, he has over the extension of his career, for sure, if you can tell that whole story, and they have tried to tell that whole story as much as they could if you see in the promos, they talk a lot about what all he’s done because that’s a really cool part of his story is what he has accomplished in this industry. By himself, you know what I mean? Like, I mean, yes, he’s had some help. Yes, his father was a wrestler, his brother, all that. Man, he came in and changed the game a little bit, and kudos to him for that. ## So really, it’s a bigger picture conversation. Whether he has the title around his waist right now or not, let’s just stop and think about what Cody’s done and accomplished from a human standpoint. Holy mackerel, this dude’s an entrepreneur in the industry of sports entertainment, and that has never existed before.” ## H/T: Fightful for the above transcription ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Cody Rhodes' WrestleMania 38 WWE Title Bid Foiled By Roman Reigns' Secret Victory Plan

BY SACNILK

Roman Reigns retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39 against Cody Rhodes was always the WWE's plan. After making a return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes expressed his desire to become WWE Champion. ## He was given an opportunity to do so after recovering from an injury, entering the men's Royal Rumble match at number 30 and winning it, which earned him a shot at Roman Reigns' Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Many believed that Rhodes was the one to put an end to Reigns' dominance at the top of WWE. ## The company built up to their showdown, which served as the main event of the second night of WrestleMania. However, outside interference from The Usos led to Rhodes' defeat, as Solo Sikoa hit him with the Samoan Spike. ## The finish of the match came as a shock to many fans, but according to Dave Meltzer's report in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan was always for Reigns to retain his title. The outcome of the match was predetermined, and the company never intended for Rhodes to walk away with the championship. ## “Reigns winning was always the plan, although it was kept secret and almost nobody knew," Dave Meltzer noted the following about the finish. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
