Edge's two-week prayer for a worthy WrestleMania opponent gets a "phenomenal" response from one AJ Styles, who has accepted the WWE Hall of Famer's open challenge for a match at WrestleMania 38.





The stage is set at WrestleMania 38 with these two uber-popular wrestling superstars facing off against one another, a dream match many people, including Styles himself, thought would never come to pass until Edge's shocking return to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble.





Styles' sentiments on a big-time matchup against Edge are shared by myriad wrestling fans, who have been champing a bit for a dream in-ring encounter between two cocky, charismatic giants over the years. With both men on the WWE roster going strong, that dream is soon to become a reality at WrestleMania 38.





Although the two have enjoyed incredible careers that spanned more than two decades, the two Grand Slam champions have never met face-to-face. In fact, his first and only bout was at the 2020 Royal Rumble match when The Rated-R Superstar returned to WWE after nine years, giving Styles a loud spurt before immediately dumping him over the top rope.





If not for granted, but this matchup sure hails high-tier offenses and some breathtaking moments are in store for the WWE Universe when these two icons meet in Dallas.





According to the current betting odds, AJ Styles at -155 is favored to win the match against Edge.

For sure, WWE always keeps the backup and I guess, they must be done forging the power-packed opponent in the form of Cody Rhodes who is heavily rumored to be the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble Winner. ## However, While going through potential Royal Rumble winners, Dave Meltzer believes this year's WrestleMania match should be Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn. ## "WrestleMania should be Sami Zayn. I mean, I think it's it's like I'm watching this thing and it's like so clear in my head and it's that clear. You know, and again even I didn't study the ratings, I would say that, but studying the ratings makes it obvious. You know that he's the guy, you know, I mean Cody can be the guy and in you know, you have to rush to Cody. ## Anyway, maybe he could headline next year's WrestleMania. You could headline SummerSlam and Sami Zayn or you know, there's a million ways to get to Cody which at some point, you know at some point they should get to Cody too.
