Liv Morgan Admits She Expected To Be Booed By The Crowd After The SummerSlam Match Was Over

BY SACNILK

The Raw Women's champion Liv Morgan persisted to enhance in the ring ever since she got the WWE Smackdown’s Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank through cash-in. ## At the event on July 2, Morgan won the Money in the Bank contract, granting her a women's championship match at any time of her choosing. Later that night, following the SmackDown Women's Championship match between Natalya and Ronda Rousey, Morgan cashed in her contract on the latter to win the title, making her the third woman, and fifth overall superstar, to successfully cash-in the Money in the Bank contract the same night after winning it. ## Liv was immediately handed over to Wolves during her reign, as she had to defend her title against Rousey in a rematch at SummerSlam. Morgan managed to run away with the championship, which has since been criticized by fans. ## Ahead of last weekend's Clash at the Castle event in Cardiff, Liv Morgan spoke to BT Sport's Ariel Helwani, where she admitted that she expected to be booed by the crowd after the SummerSlam match was over. ## “It was interesting. It was kind of something that I halfway expected, because I feel like, in a way, the fans felt like I let them down, you know? Because I feel like the ending of the match, because of its controversy, they felt indifferent. ## They wanted me, I think, to get a clean, solid win, but I was facing the Baddest Woman on the Planet, who has years, and years, and years, and years, and years of mixed martial arts experience, and I outlasted two armbars and I did my absolute best in that very moment, and so they weren’t happy with the conclusion of the match. But at the end of the day, the referee’s decision is final, but and I’m still the SmackDown Women’s Champion and the only woman to beat Ronda Rousey twice.” ## “I hated it. It’s not the way that I would have hoped for it to go. But at the end of the day, I’m still SmackDown Women’s Champion, and I guess that’s genuinely all I really care about.” ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Seth Rollins Opens Up How He Felt About The Decision On His Pulled WWE SummerSlam Match

BY SACNILK

WWE originally set up a match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins for the recent SummerSlam card, but the match was canceled a few days before the event. WWE did a storyline injury where Riddle suffered a stinger as a result of Rollins' attack on Raw.## WWE had a brawl clause at SummerSlam. The bout was being pulled because WWE wanted to save it for a later date, which is today's Clash in the Castle event.## Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Rollins explained how he felt about the decision.## “Okay, we could use a few more weeks to build this story as it was, but yeah, they made the choice to ax our match and make sure all the other matches were maximized with time and story and all that. Totally understood that and respected that. I was a little upset that we advertised the match and not given it to them. At the level I have been performing for the last year, I felt like a bit of a slap in the face as a performer that I wasn’t able to be on what is essentially the second biggest show of the year for us.”## Feeling insulted by the decision, Riddle was asked his thoughts about it.## He said, “Of course. I think anybody in my position who takes pride in what they do would think there’s gotta be a little bit of disrespect felt there. Did I go about it the right way? Maybe, maybe not…The tweet.” ## He said that earlier he was not aware of this and when he got to know about the decision, he did not take it very politely and knew a few days before the announcement. Rollins later spoke about the statement that was not in character.## “I feel bad for people who wanted to see the match who had paid money to maybe to see that match, specifically that we had been building towards a few weeks and had been advertising it for a week or two. I felt the need to control my own narrative, so to speak, in that regard.”## "I was upset we advertised the match and not given it to them""At the level I have been performing for the last year It felt like a bit of a slap in the face as a performer"@WWERollins talks about his match with Matt Riddle being scrapped at SummerSlam.#WWECastle pic.twitter.com/sNFP44BILS— WWE on BT Sport (@btsportwwe) September 3, 2022 ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

WWE SummerSlam Results: Ronda Rousey Turns Heel After Losing To Liv Morgan

BY SACNILK

After one of the most emotional Money in the Bank cash-ins in history, Liv Morgan faced her biggest challenge of all time, defending her first SmackDown Women's Title against a fresh Ronda Rousey. Morgan shows no fear in stepping into The Baddest Woman on the Planet. ## Rousey continued to inflict damage on Morgan’s arm, forcing the trainer to check on the champion, but Morgan would not let them end the match. ## Rousey continued to attack the arm, but as she locked in another armbar, Morgan stood up to plant Rousey's shoulders for a three-count. An enraged Rousey argued with the referee after Morgan missed being tapped out before the count of three, and he soon turned his fury on Morgan. ## Rousey clubbed Morgan from behind, once again trapped her in an Armbar and did the same to the referee until WWE Officials rushed in to break it up. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
