WWE Day 1 2022 Predictions & Match Card: Date, Preview, Location, Logo, Spoilers
Here is the full match card and everything you need to know about WWE Day 1 (2022) which takes place on January 1, 2022, live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

The event will be set as the company's first pay-per-view and WWE Network event to take place on New Year's Day. The company previously ran an event called New Year's Revolution from 2005 to 2007, but it was held shortly after New Year's Day.

The scheduling of Day 1 caused WWE to cancel their annual TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs event, which had been scheduled for December 19, 2021.

Confirmed Match Card
WWE Title Match: Big E Vs. Seth Rollins Vs. Kevin Owens Vs. Bobby Lashley

Back in the days, Rollins announced on Raw that he would get his one-on-one chance—earned by winning a grueling Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match—at the opening ceremony. Later on the same night, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville negotiated a deal and an extra wrinkle was thrown in as Kevin Owens was told he would be inserted into the match if he could defeat Big E one-on-one.

As would expect, Seth Rollins was ringside during Big E vs. Kevin Owens and held himself back from causing any disqualification, but Owens baited Rollins by attacking him while he was on commentary and The Visionary just couldn't help but retaliate. As a result, Kevin Owens was declared the winner of the match and added to the WWE Championship bout at Day 1.

After returning with an attack on the original three competitors, Lashley sought to join the match. WWE Officials Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce obliged but with one caveat, Lashley would have to beat Owens, Rollins, and Big in one night. The former WWE Champion will take on one challenge after another to secure his place in the larger-than-life title clash on WWE Day 1.

Winner Prediction: Big E
WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns(c) Vs. Brock Lesnar

It will be Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WWE Day.

In the wake of the stunning announcement by Kayla Braxton last week that Brock Lesnar's suspension has been lifted, Lesnar returned to SmackDown and aspired his will to challenge for the Universal Title.

However, Lesnar was faced by Sami Zayn who is the #1 contender for the Universal Title, who said that he would be facing Roman at Day 1 on January 1, 2022. But it was Brock who forced Zayn to face Roman tonight on the December 3rd episode of SmackDown instead. Brock even told Sami that he would be in his corner during the match.

Before the match started off, Brock Lesnar hit Zayn with back-to-back three suplexes because the Beast Incarnate didn’t like his promo work. Then he took an F5 before Lesnar propped him up in the corner. As expected, Reigns came out and hit a spear followed by a guillotine lock for the win. This sets up Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns at Day 1 on January 1st.

Winner Prediction: Brock Lesnar via DQ.
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos(c) Vs. New Day

The New Day will challenge SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos at the upcoming WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.

On the December 3rd episode of SmackDown, Kofi Kingston made his return following his injury a month ago, Kingston would be ringside during Xavier Woods Vs. Jey Uso. But The Match ended with a Jimmy pulling Woods off the turnbuckles. The referee called for the bell.

Later in the night, Kofi & Woods had an interview with Kayla Braxton, where Kofi revealed that he and the king will challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Day 1.

Winner Prediction: The Usos

On the November 29th episode of WWE Raw, The Miz (with Maryse) and Edge made their respective return to WWE, An insulted Miz interrupted the Rated-R Superstar while he speculated on all the new opportunities his homecoming on Raw brought, excluding The Miz from his list of Superstars.

On the December 6th episode of Raw, Edge got to the bottom of this snub as Edge was The Miz’s latest guest on MizTV. During the back and forth promo, Miz challenged Edge to a match at Day 1. Edge went on to accept the challenge.

WWE Raw Women's Championship: Becky Lynch(c) Vs. Liv Morgan

Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan are officially rooting for the Raw Women's Championship Match At Day 1 PPV event.

On the December 6th episode of WWE Raw, Liv Morgan got her one-on-one battle against Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship, and the match was a thriller. but the crafty champion grabbed the bottom rope during her pin attempt to gain enough leverage to retain her title and spoil Morgan’s moment in the main event spotlight.

On the December 13th episode of Raw, Morgan came face-to-face with the Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and demanded a rematch at WWE Day 1. Lynch initially denied for the match to happen, but later Becky accepted just right after stomping Morgan's hand into the ring steps.

Winner Prediction: Becky Lynch
Singles Match: Madcap Moss Vs. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre will face off with Madcap Moss at WWE Day 1.

On the December 10th edition of SmackDown, Drew McIntyre stuck his sword in Adam Pearce’s desk prior to his match with Sheamus. Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin appeared and stole the desk with the sword in it.

On the December 17th edition of SmackDown, Once again, Moss and Corbin were out in the ring with "the sword stabbed desk. A few moments later, McIntyre would come out to take them out of the ring. Later on in the show, Megan Morant found Corbin and Moss hiding, where Corbin revealed that Drew will face Madcap at the pay-per-view.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship Match: RK-Bro(c) Vs. Street Profits

Riddle’s brainchild to determine the next challengers for RK-Bro’s Raw Tag Team Championship saw The Street Profits defeat AJ Styles & Omos and Rey & Dominik Mysterio conquer The Alpha Academy a few weeks ago to set the stage for an epic final bout.

On the December 27th edition of WWE Raw, Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford went head-to-head with the first father-son duo in WWE history to become Tag Team Champions in the finals of the tournament.
