Vikrant Massey Maybe Star in Hindi Remake Of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Tamil Action Thriller 'Maanagaram'

Vikrant Massey has been one of the budding actors whose career is going up with each movie. While many Bollywood stars have been struggling to cope up with the covid-19 pandemic, Vikrant is one actor who gave three critically acclaimed films during this period with one more is set to release next month on Netflix.
Aiming to take this streak to the next year, the actor said to have signed multiple films, including the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's 2017 action thriller Tamil hit, Maanagaram that starred Sriram Natarajan, Sundeep Kishan, and Regina Cassandra in the lead.
As per the industry insiders, Vikrant has signed the movie and will start shooting in January next year after completing his current commitments. He will be seen reprising the role played by Sriram in the original film, of a small-town guy who comes to Chennai to attend an interview for a job in a BPO.
The Hindi remake is said to be helmed by Santosh Sivan, who previously directed Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor's Ashoka (2001) along with a few more. Santosh Sivan has prominently worked as Cinematographers, for which, he has won 5 National awards.
Sivan will be returning to Hindi film direction after 12 years with this yet-untitled film that has been written by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Debnath. He has already reportedly begun preparation for this film.
Vikrant is currently gearing up for his next film 'Ginny Weds Sunny' co-starring Yami Gautam. It is directed by Puneet Khanna and will release on October 9 on Netflix.
