Triptii Dimri Locks To Romance Kartik Aaryan In Anurag Basu's 'Aashiqui 3'

Mumbai, December 26 - Actress Triptii Dimri has been locked in to romance actor Kartik Aaryan in the third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise. The highly talented actress has been all over the media headlines and on social media over the last few weeks for her extended sublime performance in Ranbir Kapoor-led mega-blockbuster "Animal".

Aashiqui 3 was officially announced in September last year with Kartik Aaryan as the male lead and since then, there have been many speculations regarding the female lead. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the current national crush Tripti Dimri has been cast to romance Kartik in the next installment of this romantic saga.



It is said that Triptii has been in talks with the makers for the female lead for quite some time and after her powerful performance in Animal, the actress is officially locked in for the same. This is the first major lead role for Triptii on the big screen after doing critically acclaimed films like Laila Majnu (2018), Qala (2022), and Bulbbul (2020).

Produced by T-Series, "Aashiqui 3" will be directed by Anurag Basu and the shoot for the same will commence in the first quarter of 2024. It is said that both Kartik and Triptii will be doing some workshops and script-reading sessions before starting to shoot for the film.

Kartik, meanwhile, will next be seen in director Kabir Khan's "Chandu Champion", scheduled to release in June next year. He is also gearing up to commence the filming of "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" with director Anees Bazmee, and it will be released on Diwali 2024.
