Tom Holland's 'Uncharted' And 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Takes First And Third Position At Domestic Box Office

Los Angeles, February 28 - Many might not believe but the fact is that Tom Holland has become the box office savior during the covid-19 pandemic. His "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has not slipped at once from the top three positions at the domestic box office since its debut in December 2021, and now, his latest release "Uncharted" is also on the same route.
Sony Pictures' video game adaptation, "Uncharted" has taken the number 1 position at the domestic box office for the second time in a row with $23.3 million in the second weekend. The total domestic cume for Tom Holland-fronted has reached $83.4 million after 10 days. It has beaten "Scream" ($79M) to become the biggest domestic (North America) grosser for a film released in 2022 so far.
Overseas, the Ruben Fleischer-directed collected $35 million from 64 territories this past weekend, pushing its international total to $143 million. Worldwide, the adventure movie has grossed $226.4 million. The United Kingdom is leading film's international biz with $24.8 million to date, followed by France with $12.2 million, Australia with $7.8 million, and Germany with $6.7 million.
On the other hand, Holland's biggest hit "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is continuing to put strong legs at the North America box office, taking the 3rd position in its 11th weekend with $5.8 million. The domestic box office cume for "No Way Home" has reached to staggering $779.9 million as $800 million is now looking within the reach.
With "Uncharted" ruling domestic box office, Tom Holland has now had the number 1 position for 8 of the last 11 weekends, and not once did his movies drop from the top 3 rankings since the release of Marvel/Sony's superhero movie on December 17, 2021. "Uncharted" was the big test for Holland to prove his box office pull, and now, he has passed that test with flying colors, delivering back-to-back blockbusters at the global box office.
