Box Office: 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Becomes The Highest-Grossing Solo Superhero Movie Of All Time

Mumbai, January 2 - Marvel/Sony's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" becomes the highest-grossing solo superhero film at the worldwide box office of all time, crossing Marvel Studios' "Black Panther". With a global cume of $1.37 billion, "No Way Home" also becomes the 12th biggest-grosser of all time worldwide.
The Tom Holland-fronted finale of the Home Coming trilogy grossed $78.3 million from 61 international markets in the 3rd weekend, lifting its overseas box office to $759 million. The United Kingdom is leading the overseas chart for "No Way Home" with a total cume so far $92.4 million, followed by Mexico at $64.9M.
The Top 10 international markets for "No Way Home" through 3rd Sunday are - the UK $92.4M, Mexico $64.9M, Korea $51.4M, France $50.2M, Australia $42M, Brazil $40.2M, India $34.2M, Russia $34M, Germany $29.5M, and Indonesia $22.9M. India is particularly has been the biggest plus for "No Way Home", which becomes only the second title of 2021 to cross Rs. 200 crores net in India.
At the domestic box office (North America), "No Way Home" minted $56 million over the New Year's holiday weekend, boosting its domestic tally to $613 million. It is now the 10th-highest-grossing domestic release in history, beating Disney's "Incredibles 2" ($608 million). In 2021, "No Way Home" is the biggest domestic grosser, followed by Marvel's "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" with $224 million.
Directed by Jon Watts, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is eyeing its total global run of around $1.7 billion, which means it could finish at number 6, ahead of "Jurassic World", "The Lion King", and "The Avengers". If "No Way Home" gets released in China, the final worldwide cume could finish higher, however, it is unlikely to beat "Avengers: Infinity War", which is currently at number 5 with $2.04B.
