Tom Cruise's 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' Advance Booking Off To Strong Start In India
Mumbai, May 11 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is once again set to display his stardom among the Indian audience as his spy action thriller, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, is heading for a big opening at the Indian box office upon its release on May 17.
The Christopher McQuarrie's directorial sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) is hitting fantastic advances in India. With 6 days still to go before the release, the blockbuster has sold over 12,000 advance tickets in the three multiplex chains (PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis) for the opening weekend.
For the opening day alone, The Final Reckoning has sold over 8K tickets in PIC, which is fantastic. The pre-sales are mainly scoring in the premium format. It needs to be seen how the pre-sales progress leading up to the release date, but the early signs are super positive.
Dead Reckoning was a big hit and took the opening of approximately 15 crore gross in India. Here, the upcoming tentpole to expected to hit 20 crores gross or higher opening, given that it will be released on Saturday (May 17) and also be the final film in the Mission: Impossible franchise.
As said, the predecessor was a big success with the lifetime gross collection of 131+ crores in India. If the Final Reckoning manages to score the positive word of mouth, it will easily gross more than the previous film to emerge as Tom Cruise's biggest grosser in the country.
