Tiger Shroff Confirms His Rambo Is Back On Track After Years Of Uncertainty
Mumbai, January 6 - Months after Rambo was reportedly shelved, Tiger Shroff has finally put an end to speculation surrounding his much-anticipated action project. The actor has confirmed that the film is now back on track after years of uncertainty and being reworked on a much bigger scale.
The Hindi adaptation of Rambo was officially announced in 2018, with Tiger Shroff headlining the film. It was pitched as a high-octane action spectacle inspired by the iconic Hollywood franchise led by Sylvester Stallone. Given Tiger's reputation for intense action, combat skills, and physical transformation, the announcement generated massive buzz at the time.
Back then, the makers promised a gritty, large-scale action film that would present Tiger in one of his most physically demanding roles. However, after the initial announcement and early pre-production talks, updates on the project slowly began to dry up.
Over the years, Rambo quietly slipped into limbo. Industry reports suggested that the film faced multiple roadblocks, including creative restructuring, budget concerns, and changing market dynamics. To proceed with the project became difficult as many of Tiger Shroff's big-budget action films failed at the box office, leading producers to rethink.
By 2023–2024, reports emerged claiming that Rambo had been shelved, with some reports suggesting the makers were unsure about reviving the project in its original form due to Tiger Shroff's declining box office pull in action space. The absence of official updates further fueled speculation that the film had been dropped altogether.
Putting all rumours to rest, Tiger Shroff has now confirmed to an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Rambo is very much alive. The actor revealed that the project had been stuck for nearly six years due to various reasons, but has finally found its way back into active development.
The actor reveals that this time, Rambo will not be a straightforward remake. Instead, the film is being reinvented, with a fresh approach that reflects his growth as an actor and action performer. He also hinted at a completely new look and a more evolved version of the character, suggesting that audiences can expect something significantly different from what was initially planned.
However, the actors didn't reveal if it would be produced by Siddharth Anand and director Rohit Dhawan. More details are expected once Tiger completes his current assingments.
