The Raja Saab Box Office Worldwide: Prabhas-Starrer Horror-Comedy Clocks 100 Crore Opening

Hyderabad, January 9 - Pan-India superstar Prabhas has once again muscled his star power with his latest romantic horror comedy The Raja Saab, which has taken an excellent opening of nearly 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office, despite mixed to negative reviews and word of mouth.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab has clocked an estimated 75 gross in India, depending on the offline shows. The domestic start is once again led by the Telugu states, where the movie has grossed over 55 crores, including the premiere collection of over 8 crores.

At the Overseas box office, the film is looking to collect in the 25-30 crores range, for the worldwide opening day gross of 100+ crores. With this, it has become the first 100 crores Indian grosser of 2026, and the 6th film of Prabhas to do so.

The Raja Saab had collected over 50 crores gross in its worldwide pre-sales for the opening day. The numbers could have been higher had the bookings been opened much earlier in India. Still, the advance sales were solid, despite falling short of Prabhas' recent films, such as Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar.

As said, the opening of The Raja Saab was purely possible due to the stardom of Prabhas, especially since the initial word of mouth was not looking good after the poor critics' reviews. The advances for tomorrow are decent, given the reception, which indicates a decent hold. It needs to be seen how the movie fares over the Sankranthi festive weekend, which is crucial.
