Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' To Have Direct Clash With Ajith Kumar's 'Thunivu'

Chennai, January 4 - Two of the biggest superstars of South Indian cinema, Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar will be taking on each other at the box office this Pongal festival.

Ajith Kumar's action thriller Thunivu has been confirmed to hit screens on January 11 in Tamil and Telugu languages. Directed by H. Vinoth, "Thunivu" makers recently launched the trailer which met with positive reception from the audiences and the makers are confident of the film's box office success.



Thalapathy Vijay's family action drama film Varisu was announced to release on January 12, but now, it is said that the much-anticipated film will be hitting theaters on January 11 and will have a direct clash with "Thunivu".

The trailer of "Varisu" was launched on January 4 and it is out an out family entertainer with stylish action sequences. The trailer of the film, directed by Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally, getting positive reception and breaking records on YouTube.

Both Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar are the biggest stars in Tamil and their movies used to take huge openings. It is said that both films will be given equal theaters in Tamil Nadu and it will be internating to see which movie make the best out of it.
