Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' Release Date Re-Confirmed With First Look Teaser

Chennai, June 22 - Thalapathy Vijay gears up for a last dance of this cinematic journey with the upcoming film Jana Nayagan, which is potentially his last film before he steps into the world of politics.

Directed by H. Vinoth, the political action thriller was announced for Pongal 2026 release, and reconfirming the same, the makers announced that this much-awaited biggie would hit the big screen on January 9, 2026, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.



The makers also dropped the first look teaser to celebrate the Tamil superstar's 51st birthday. The glimpse video opens with the words, "A true leader rises not for power, but for people" - setting the tone for Vijay's character, who plays a police officer.

Produced by KVN Productions, marking the studio's debut in Tamil cinema, the movie stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead alongside Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Shruti Haasan, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
